Ocean Plaza Motel

Would not recommend if you have an ESA animal they do not care if you have paperwork from doctor saying that animal is to be aloud anywhere the handler goes. Ended up having to switch hotels to a sister hotel next door and was charged an additional 210 dollars. If we had not drove 12hrs and was tired we would have eat the cost and went home

Clean, had everything we needed, right on the ocean, code to everything, quiet

Common area in need of maintenance,including inside pool and hot tubs,elevator/ rooms were very accommodating and balcony,ocean views

okay for the price, we didn't research well. this is a non-smoking property. but it was easy to go out the pool and stand on the beach. no real complaints, nice kitchenette, and not very noisy.

The staff was so nice they distracted my 1 yr old daughter in the elevator because she didn't like it. They chatted and laughs with my 6 year old son. We enjoyed our stay. Everyone was super nice!

This was a last minute hotel for me and my family and it was perfect it’s clean has a kitchen and a lot of space for family this hotel has a indoor and outdoor pool even beach access I just wish we got a room with balcony ocean view other than that amazing trip

I don't have anything to say bad about the ocean motel there's only three things is the doors to get in, the bathroom and the sliding door to the balcony

Highly do not recommend!!! Nastiest hotel, mildew carpet…sheets dirty…needs to be shut down.

Great stay

Room was clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. No beach or ocean view.

The staff was perfect. Friendly, informative, helpful, and pleasant to deal with. The outdoor pool and deck is not kept up and dirty. The elevator took forever going up or down. The parking was okay an the location. The room its self was clean for the most part. Beds uncomfortable. Beach view was perfect.

Honestly for the price, it was exactly what we needed. It is older, and you can tell, but the room was clean. Staff was nice and helpful. Perfect location right by the beach, I would book here again.

Despite the claim of Expedia that all prices shown include taxes and fees, INCLUDING RESORT FEES, when I tried to check in at the Ocean Plaza I was told I would be charged an additional $16.67 per night "resort fee". I demanded a refund and was told they would not refund the first night's fee. These people are running a scam in violation of Expedia's policy. They are counting on people paying the additional charge rather than look for another room at the last minute. I have filed a complaint with the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs. This is a clear case of extortion in connection with false advertising. Stay somewhere else.

Would stay again, staff was very friendly and helpful with bringing extra towels, and a frying pan I didn’t request but still lol also maintainence was quick to help fish a blow dryer in my room also.
