We only stayed at the Whaler Inn for one night. The day we were checking out, I wanted to take a shower before we got on the road. Turned the water on, shampoo my head and then there was no water in the sink or the shower. I screamed to my husband, can you go to the front office, because they ran out of water and I am in the shower with shampoo in my hair. While my husband was gone, I was able to gets some drips and very low pressure, just to rinse out the shampoo. The maintenance men showed up, while my husband said he heard someone from another room complaining there is no water and the housekeeper said, oh no water again! The maintenance men did confirm very low pressure. When we checked out, we told them the incident. Absolutely NO APOLOGIZES and no I AM SO SORRY, I wanted to talk to the manager and she or he would not come out and told the front desk person to tell us, we can have 10 percent off for future stays. It was a 550.00 room and we only got a bed and no water. So I will definitely tell people to not stay there, Bad customer service! The want your money and do not care about you!

The hotel and room were very comfortable, and the location was great. I expected more amenities for the price of the rooms. I felt the rooms are greatly overpriced.

The location was perfect, enabling us to walk across the bascule bridge into town. The Shipwright's Daughter for dinner and breakfast was excellent and our overall experience couldn't have been better.

Wish we could have stayed longer. Hotel was great, perfect location. Staff was very accommodating.

The Inn is in a brilliant location. It is old and charming but it needs a good cleaning and upgrade. The carpet was old and stinky. The girl at check in was not very friendly but the man at check out was very friendly. We went into the bar for a glass of wine and paid $36.00!!! For house wine, after spending $1,000 for our room!

The Whaler Inn is a charming hotel in a perfect location in Mystic. We were able to walk to everything in town including great restaurants a few steps away. The room was smaller than anticipated and the walls were thin. We were able to hear babies crying in the room downstairs. Despite that, we slept well- the beds were very comfortable and the curtains blocked the light. We appreciated the mini fridge in the room and rocking and Adirondack chairs around the property. We had breakfast at the Shipwright's Daughter twice during our stay and it was good, especially the biscuits with jam. We struggled to find parking sometimes when we came back in the evenings and did not have an elevator in our specific building. All in all, we had a great stay and would choose this hotel again based on the location, comfortable beds, and helpful staff.
