Kongoni House

This is a very charming guest house in a calm and green area. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming and available to help with anything you need. The chef is absolutely amazing and prepares beautiful breakfasts. I also had dinner there several nights and the food was perfect at dinner too. The hotel is a great value and is in a nice, safe area next to the Karura forest. There are also two very charming cats who live near the security gate. I would very happily stay here again. Great location, peaceful, quiet, safe. I recommend this place. Very tasty and full breakfast. Shower was leaking a bit, but I expect that this will be solved very soon.

This little cute hotel is in the middle of a very green area and its garden is amazing. Higly recommended, expecially if if you are looking for a relaxing stay.

The breakfasts, prepared by Chef JP and the team, are a true highlight—delicious, creative, and thoughtfully curated every morning. Kongoni House is situated in an exceptionally safe location, surrounded by embassies and ambassador residences, providing both privacy and top-tier security. I had an absolutely wonderful stay! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and hospitality. The house is located in a peaceful, leafy neighbourhood, offering a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. The surroundings are lush and green, perfect for a morning chai and relaxing in the garden, or an evening cocktail (The best in town) in the lounge area. The bed was incredibly comfortable, it felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. What really stood out to me, was the host's exceptional attention to detail. They were always available to assist, whether it was recommending great local spots or arranging transportation, and good conversation. I felt truly cared for during my entire stay. I visited during the cold season, and while the house was very cozy and comfortable, I’d highly recommend planning your stay during the warmer seasons, when the sweet African sun is at its strongest. The outdoor spaces are truly best enjoyed when you can bask in the sunshine and take full advantage of the beautiful garden setting."

The warmth this house holds is one of a kind. Its vast space both in and out provides a safe space for any individual to feel welcome. I will definitely be visiting this beautiful space again!
