Catahoula Hotel New Orleans

The place is excellent & full of character. Definitely not your cookie cutter hotel. It was clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. My only (minor) complaint is the handheld shower head was broken. The main shower head functioned but the handheld did not and needs to be replaced. Overall an excellent place to stay!

They have lots of room options at different price points and sizes. Something for everyone.

I loved the layout of the facility. Very very quaint. New Orleans' rats lying dead on the street outside the facility on Sunday morning. I am very sqeemish. I stayed a bit longer than I intended to process rats lying dead on the streets. It's different. Also, the air conditioner was dripping and the shower could have been designed much better.

Exceptional

Staff was friendly. Rented an apartment for the weekend. If you want nothing more than a place to store your goods and a place to sleep this is it. Totally no frills. Toilet seat was broken with a cigarette burn on it. The towel rack in the bathroom was broken and only the screw hanging out the wall. Very loud as it's on the street below. Half of the outlets in the room worked so good you may be Hathor phone in the other room. You get what you pay for.

The lobby area is decorated nicely. There was always someone available at the front desk 24/7. After expressing my sentiments about the noise level from the 2nd floor from out 1st floor room to the owner, we were upgraded to a nicer room on the 3rd floor for our final night of stay. The rooms on the bottom floor are quite small. There's not much storage space in the rooms to place your items, but this can be attributed to the limited space.

We stayed 3 nights and everything was great, very short walk to bourbon street, we were in and out a lot and was greeted every time we came thru the door. Room was clean and comfy, will be coming back

Pleasant

Great Hotel, Booked and walked the city the entire weekend. Parked in a neighboring garage. $50 for the weekend. Rooftop terrace was a great place to hang. The suite was comfortable and the balcony was awesome.

Exceptional

Our room, the 700 sq foot apartment was NOTHING like the pictures on Expedia app that we expected. It was 700 sq ft, but pretty awful. The room was not prepped before we arrived (at 6pm). There apartment was pretty gross, and we couldn’t even find a bowl to eat out of. The only reason why we didn’t freak out we because our trip there was just a quick stay. The only bright side was the front desk guy was AWESOME, he did the best he could to help, he even left the front desk and made the bed for us. The only way I would tell anyone to stay there is if you are going to get so drunk you won’t remember it.

Good hotel, lots of nice restaurants and a close walk to bourbon st

Location was fabulous for French Quarter and the Saenger. Room was small and simple but it was clean and had everything we needed for a quick overnight in the city. Definitely plan on staying next time in town
