My single complaint about the hotel has to do with their 'no cash' policy. I'm totally fine with that BUT if it's a cashless hotel, they should provide a QR code in each room that guests can use to tip housekeeping (I have seen this done at other hotels). Since there is no one in the hotel that carries cash and can provide change, it then becomes difficult for guests to tip housekeeping unless they reguarly travel with small bills. I actually made this same comment after leaving the CitizenM in Seattle (2 years ago). But outside of that, everything about the stay was perfect and I highly recommend it!

The room is a bit small but otherwise, it was clean.

Everything is good about this hotel except to air conditioner. It kept the temperature in the morning and evening - however, the room got hot after midnight. I spoke to staff, they said they will look into that but noone got back to me and the second night was the same. I had exactly same experience with the air conditioner at my prior stay in this hotel so I don't think its one room problem. As a workaround it would be good if they had a thin blanket in the room as the only one they provided is very warm.

Very welcoming staff. Rooms are small size but perfect if traveling solo or in a couple. Great decorations and lobby.

The only downside, and I mean the ONLY downside is the in room fridge was not cold and when we had maintenance up to check it they said thats how all the in room fridges are and its as cold as they get to prevent any chance of freezing.

We loved our stay at Citizen M Times Square. We arrived early and the front desk clerk Kevin warmly greeted us and helped to stow our bags until our room was ready. He couldn't have been more helpful. We were able to check in several hours early and the rooms were clean, modern and well appointed. Kevin had also left a card and snacks in our room since it was our first time staying at this location. What a nice touch! The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed a quiet and restful night after a busy day in the city. Kevin was working the next morning during checkout and was again as kind as could be. Several other staff members we encountered were also kind and helpful. We would 100% stay here again and recommend this hotel to others!

Very helpful and friendly staff, both at the reception and at the bar. The rooftop is a real +, and the location is great. The room was clean, and while small, perfectly sufficient for a few days in NYC. Almost everything is controlled through the iPad in the room, which is convenient. The elevator was under maintenance, and we often had to wait for quite a bit.
