Our first time staying at the Belleclaire was very pleasant. The rooms had sound insulation, and you couldn't hear the street noise. Room size was larger than most NY hotels and the staff was really quite amazing and accommodating. The coffee cafe downstairs was fantastic -- really good quality coffee and the breakfast pastries and lunch items were very high quality.

Great croissant breakfast at hotel cafe. Great uptown location, easy access to subway

Everything was perfect! I love the hotel, location, staff, breakfast in the cafeteria and accommodations are very clean. The only thing is that the walls aren’t noise proof, you can hear what is going on to the next room. They should do something to isolate the walls.

I wonder why the two bottles of water aren't being provided daily?

Great location near Centra Park and Subway. Staff was perfect.
-
Beautiful hotel, great location and absolutely the best customer service- everyone has a smile on their face and ready to help in any way. A stand out in their customer service! Highly recommend.
-
The location was perfect for the activities I wanted to do and I loved my super comfortable bed. The front desk staff was so helpful. I was traveling alone and needing recommendations. They were great!

This is our second time staying at this hotel and would come back again - wonderful coffee and breakfast at the cafe, close to Central Park, easy transportation access, wonderful staff.
-
We loved everything about this hotel stay. The only thing we would change is it would be nice to be able to open the window for fresh air, but I understand why they are sealed. The bathroom window opens a little bit which is nice. The staff is wonderful and helpful, the location is fantastic, the beds are comfy, the french bakery is delicious, the a/c works perfectly and I can't wait to stay here again!

This is my second stay. The location is great. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are very nice. I would definitely recommend it.

Hotel is beautiful and staff was amazing. Location was near 1 train and many options for food nearby. The only thing I didn’t like was the noise at night. We stayed on the street side at the intersection and it was loud. Also, the doors to all the rooms are very heavy and slam shut. It’s a lot in the middle of the night to hear all the doors slamming shut. Other than this, the stay was great and the hotel itself is beautiful.

The bathroom is dangerous especially for old people

I’ve travelled to NYC well over dozen times and this was by far the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Will definitely be back!

The rooms were immaculate. The bakery located on site is a true jewel. This is the place to be on the upper west side!

The room was comfortable, clean, and well kept, with enough space to relax after a long day in the city. The design keeps some of the hotel’s old New York charm while still feeling updated and practical. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and the overall atmosphere was quiet enough to get good rest, which is always appreciated in Manhattan. The staff was also friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Check-in was smooth, and the service felt professional without being cold. I also liked that the hotel felt more personal and neighborhood-oriented than a large, generic Midtown hotel. Overall, The Hotel Belleclaire is a great option if you want to stay in a charming, well-located hotel outside the busiest tourist areas, while still having easy access to the rest of the city. I would definitely recommend it for anyone who wants a comfortable Upper West Side stay with character, convenience, and a real NYC feel.

Beautiful small hotel with cute rooms. Friendly helpful staff. Wonderful small bakery affiliated with the hotel. Vouchers are enough for a pastry and coffee. Unfortunate loud noise through the wall at bedtime. Only ten seconds or so but enough to rattle us on consecutive nights. Sounded like a jackhammer. I would stay here again. Lovely.

This is an absolutely perfect hotel for a stay in New York. Close to the subway stop, walking distance to Central Park, many great restaurants . The hotel rooms can run small but well thought out and big enough for two. The included breakfast vouchers get me my perfect breakfast.

The service and location of the hotel are great. The cafe and bar downstairs are very nice. My only complaint is that my room felt quite dated. The bathroom was very small and crammed, with very little counter space. I stayed at a different hotel not far from there that was just a little more expensive but much more updated rooms. Other than that, every other aspect of our stay was great.

The room was clean and adequate for one person. I was not informed about the "facility fee", which was more than $200 for the week in addition to the room fee. It was a surprise at check out. I was charged for things I didn't use: a walking tour which I didn't know about, and bottles of water in the room which I didn't use. Those should be optional and guests should be informed beforehand. The front desk staff was excellent. The housekeepers were pleasant. The oranges at the front desk were a nice modest touch but could be fresher. The vouchers for Mille Feuille were handy. In short, the hotel needs to inform guests of all charges and it should make the tour and water bottles optional. I'd stay there again because of the great location.

The king parlour suite was much much bigger than expected. Like a roomy -for NY * 1 bedroom. But the kitchenette had no cups, plates or dinnerware. We had to call and get cheap CVS plates and utensils delivered. The beds were comfortable but not the most comfortable I have had. The happy hour and credits towards the bakery were excellent and useful. The staff was wonderful. Wish they had a restaurant like their sister hotel, The Evelyn. We will be back though. Beautiful hotel and fun to feel like you are living on the upper west side and not just being a tourist.
