All was cool, of course, you are sharing the same place with other people, it's private, but no ceiling over your head, so you will need noise-canceling headphones, which will solve all the problems! It's right in the heart of Monhatten, all is nearby. If you are a tourist, you will spend all day in the sity, for take a shower and rest at night, you have everything you need!e

1) Location is excellent and the reason why I booked it. 2) Last minute it was a lot cheaper than the usual advertised price. 3) A bit more privacy than a regular dorm I should have trusted the honest reviews instead of the overall rating. It's a space with a kitchen area, about 20 cubicles, the reception, the main entrance and the bathroom in one big room Extremely noisy. The only noise they managed is talking. Nobody talks late at night. For the rest it was a nightmare. Didn't get much sleep for 3 nights. Even using white noise on my phone with earphones as earplugs were useless. The so called women's floor is mixed. Several men were there during my 3 nights sharing the bathroom. 3 nights of heavy snoring could be heard. Nothing was done. The 3rd night I even spoke to 2 staff about it. Very cold and nothing was done Furthermore they are 24hr so people come in at all times. People even used the hair-dryer at 1 and 4am. You can hear everything. Especially lots of doors opening and closing (especially slamming if the guest is inconsiderate) throughout the night. So in conclusion It's a 'shelter' more than a 'retreats'

Nice place to a good rest.
-
Breakfast was substantial. Staff were helpful Close to Penn Station and High Line Showers need a better regulator. At moment you have a choice of burning yourself or freezing, no happy medium.
-
The beds were bit too small for a tall person but apart from that it's fine
