If you ask for early checking in at 1 p.m. instead of 4, and you pay the $75+ fee, you will most likely still wait an additional 40-50 minutes to get in even though they ask you what time you would be there.

The hotel was a great experience! The room itself was a nice space to share with my wife and I. The complementary breakfast and restaurant were both amazing and convenient. The staff were helpful and the room service were always on point! I would definitely stay here again!

Gym had 2 machines, no microwave in rooms. The property was too noisy, there is a restaurant with club feel downstairs with very loud music. It wasn’t restful at all. Expedia show $400 and some change but the property charged me almost $600z

I have such mixed feelings about this place. The price is unbelievably affordable for NYC with excellent transport links to get you to the center of Manhattan in no time. The soap in the shower was excellent! Plus the staff - everyone from the security guard to the front desk person to housekeeping were professional and kind. HOWEVER, I don't know if I would recommend staying here. When I arrived music was BLARING from the breakfast/ slash / bar area. I had to shout to be heard by the front desk. Then on the way up to my room, the elevator floor was sticky and smelled of bleach - as if someone from the bar had spilled a drink and it was hastily cleaned by a dirty mop. Once arriving to my floor, the halls are dark! It was an unusual design choice to paint the walls dark and have so few lights. My room was fine except the lid to the toilet seat was broken and instead of replacing it it was left as it was. In the early evening I ventured outside to find dinner and while the area is "fine", I never felt unsafe, it's FILTHY. There is trash absolutely EVERYWHERE, tons of it. Then later in the evening, getting ready to turn in, I realized I could hear every single word my neighbor was saying into his phone - the walls are PAPER THIN. His call lasted about 30 minutes, followed by a TV program, played at maximum volume for ten minutes and then he apparently went to bed. Breakfast was good with homemade corn muffins, eggs, yogurt, fresh coffee, etc.

The main issue during my stay was the temperature throughout the hotel. My room was extremely warm, and despite setting the thermostat to a cooler temperature, it never seemed to make much of a difference. The hallways and common areas also felt quite hot. Other than those issues, the staff was friendly and the stay was enjoyable. With better temperature control and a quicker check-in experience, this would have been an even better stay.
