DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Newark Airport

Very nice at a decent price.

Great food.

Staff was helpful in booking room, just not big enough for the five of us. No complimentary breakfast was alarming. The amenities were exceptional. My children loved the foosball table. They enjoyed the pool and the gym.

Horrible experience from the start to the end. 1st I booked a room with a view and when I got there they had given away my room. So they gave us free breakfast and said they had another room with a view but it wasn’t going to be the skyline that a booked. We get to out room and it’s a lovely view of the pool. Could hear the people using the pool on the 8th floor. We let that go then as we are unpacking we notice it’s very hot in out room go to check the ac it’s not blowing cold air like it should. The bathroom was dirty and still had hair from the people before and a dirty foot print on the toilet seat. Finally got to hot so I send the kids down to see if they had fans. They don’t but they did sent a man to come check the ac. At 1am they finally got us a new room. Still no view but cleaner kinda and the ac worked. Almost forgot went down to the bistro took 3 hours to get served and pay. Food was overpriced and gross. Made us all sick for the rest of our trip. The breakfast was no better other than Buffett style. The only thing worth eating was a banana because they couldn’t mess that up. Then the second day at 1:30am a man unlocked out door and came in saw we where startled and said “oops sorry” and left. Then at 4 am woken up by some crazy person swearing and causing a seen in the hallway. Needless to say never again will we be back to this property. Oh and they told us pool closed at 8pm well there were people in the pool till 11:30pm and later. I don’t recommend.

Beautiful pool

The air conditioning was a little crappy. The fan speed was horrible. Noisy as all hell because of the indoor pool in an open area with high ceilings. You hear everything amplified. It’s not much to ask for some complimentary coffee

All went well for a quick sleep after arriving after midnight.

Easy check in, great staff and wonderful food.

DoubleTree is excellent I love going there,they have a nice pool and the food at the restaurant is good

Parking

The lobby was good, but the hallway had a strong smell. The room and bathroom also smelled very bad. The bedsheets had holes in them.

Breakfast over priced and a negative.

Clean room and common areas, convenient shuttle & parking, good restaurant, nice pool and gym

DO NOT UNDERSTAND AT DAYTIME, RECEIPTION HAS ONLY ONE STAFF TO HANDLE ALL CUSTONMER CHECK IN, FEEL BAD FOR GIRL JUST BY HERSELF TO DO WELCOME JOB. THIS CAUSE LOONG TIME CHECK IN AND WAITING WITH 4 STAR HOTEL

Convenient to airport and cruise port. Property is showing its age. Staff is adequate but not overly helpful. I am very disappointed the hotel no longer offers transportation to cruise port.
