City Centre Inn at Newport News

Everything. Very unsafe and disgusting! DO NOT BRING CHILDREN HERE

No trash can anywhere in the room or the bathroom and only one pillow on the king-sized bed. People were hanging around the doors both inside and outside. The front desk clerk was very nice, though.

The hotel is outdated, but for the price, it was good. The staff was polite, and everything was functional in the room. Not much more you could ask for. 😃

Don't do it! I wish someone had gave me the same warning....spend your money somewhere else

I didn't like anything at! People were living there. Too much hanging out in the hallways. Way overly priced.

There was no trash can, and the room was not cleaned very well. The towels were damp, as if they had just been used, with two of the three having stains. Luckily, I brought my own towel for traveling. The building wasn't well-kept, grass/weed growing next to the wall. It felt unsafe, and some suspicious people were hanging around the entrance and the hallway.

When arriving there were people hanging out. The pictures on line are not what the room looks like. The bathroom had no shower curtain. When i inquired they proceeded to hand me a stained curtain and stated that I would have to hang ot myself. The one chair in the room was broken. The cuttains had holes and were ripped. The also was a half roll of toilet paper and i had to request a roll which was handed to me through an opening. The entire hotel smelled. . The sheets were stained. The microwave was filthy. I took pictures of the room. I am so disappointed. I feel I deserve a refund for false advertising. Establishments should have to submit yearly pictures.

Room did not look like images on site, they originally couldn't find my reservation, then had to make sure a room was ready for me after showing my booking receipt. It's an extended stay place so there were people who were "living" there loitering in the hallways, drama of people running up and down the hallway banging on doors for help

Cigarettes burn in the bed!

Worst place ever

Holes in the bathroom door. Burn marks in the blankets. Stained towels. Broken beds. Honestly I can’t believe this place is on Hotels.com

Worst hotel we ever saw. Dirty, unsafe, old , smelly. We did not stay the night. Got another room at another hotel.

On top of that, the carpet was ripped and worn out, and even the peephole on the door was broken, which raised serious safety and security concerns. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had, and I would not recommend staying here.

Completely unsafe- grown men were drinking and smoking crack in the hallway and stairwell. One man was passed out from drugs and I had to walk around him to get to the stairs. Several men were under the influence of something and fighting with weapons.

My comments. There was no toilet tisue in the room. Entire room 201 was filthy definely not clean. No coffee as stated. Really disappointed.
