Hôtel Helvétique

The hotel is in a great location to enjoy Nice, and the rooms are comfortable and quiet. Due to the nature of Nice’s architecture, it can be a little cramped getting in and out of the lobby when it’s busy, but that’s just the nature of staying in the city with dense urban construction.

Location staff and cleaning

Smelled like sewage in the hallway and the water pressure on the shower head was not great. Tried the breakfast first morning and it’s not worth the 14 euro. Eggs and pancakes were cold, it’s in a small room, not a true buffet breakfast. If you’re good with a coffee and croissant you can get that far less than 4 euro anywhere else.

Great place in the heart of Nice, near Massena, perfect for a short vacation.

Last minute booking available, convenient central location, clean, coffee in room, welcome water, balcony, comfy beds, a/c, free luggage storage, quiet!- cafes and restaurants, shopping in immediate proximity. Smell of sewer gas very early morning. A rude awakening that didn’t go away. It was reported and hopefully handled.

The location is excellent—just 2 minutes from Galeries Lafayette, 5 minutes from the beach, and 15 minutes from the train station. Upon check-in, guests receive complimentary water and macarons, which is a lovely touch. The rooms are quite spacious, with amazing mattresses that ensure a comfortable night's sleep. Hot water is always available. My room does not overlook the street, and there was no noticeable noise from outside, which helped me sleep well. The breakfast was very good, offering hot drinks, delicious pastries, a selection of cold cuts and cheeses, fresh fruit, and yoghurts. The staff were friendly, diverse and multilingual, supportive, and attentive to detail. There was a bit of noise from neighbouring rooms, and I could occasionally hear the sound of running water.

The location is great. You have to leave the keys at the desk before going out, which is helpful because you dont get to worry about losing them. The staff was helpful and friendly. Firstly the state of the room. When we booked the room, the images showed new furniture and a complete different layout. These rooms exist(we saw them through the cracked doors when the cleaning was done), but they didnt offer us one like in the pictures shown on Booking. In our room the furniture was quite old(i didnt really mind that), there was a lot of mold at the window(see the picture) and a bit on the ceiling (which was also cracked in some places). The cleaning was done superficially, only the bed was made and the towels were changed, we didnt have the floor mopped. If you dont mind these aspects and you only want somewhere to sleep+ a central hotel, this is perfect for you. Unfortunately for this money (+ for the fact that it is a 3 star hotel) , i had higher expectations regarding the cleanliness of the room.

The location is great, close to the city center and beach. The room size is good and it is nice and clean. Reception staff is very friendly. Beds are comfortable with a nice AC. All in all, we enjoyed our stay here. The toilet is separated from the sink and the shower which is inconvenient. You get only one key to the room and you have to leave it at the reception before you leave.

Amazing location, great stuff

Location is very good. Walking distance to almost all major attractions like, beach, good restaurants, shopping areas, oldtown. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They exceeded our expectations always with smiling face. We traveled by car so we needed a parking place. Even though it was not in front of the hotel, the parking place was very convenient. (with additional fee) Hotel provided beach towel when requested. * The room was small for 3 people. * Even though it was not on the main road during night there was a lot of noise coming from the street outside.

The staff at the hotel were very helpful. The room was high quality, and overall everyone was very accommodating. In terms of value and logistics, this hotel puts you steps away from one of the best bakeries in Nice (Celine), and it's a 5-8 minute walk to the Promenade. 10/10 would stay again No complaints

Small elevator. Regarding parking, it should be clearly stated that the road cones in front of the hotel can be moved to temporarily park a car.

Very friendly staff and clean facilities. Complimentary cafe in the morning was a nice touch!

Excellent location in walking distance to all attractions, shopping and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and accommodating making our stay very pleasant.

Staff and location was excellent There was no hot water in one of our rooms, furnitures, especially beds and their sheets was very old, maybe it is normal for the area but we were asked to give our keys back when we were going out (as i said since we dont know the area maybe its a usual thing). The worst part was i got an eye infection after my first night, most probable cause is the pillows.

Location is excellent! Easy to locate and just about right in the city center. The beaks just a few blocks away and there are several restaurants and a small grocery store near by. You have to leave your key at the front deck when you leave the property. It’s an “old style” metal key on a key ring. Which in most cases would be fine but when I return to the hotel after a walkabout the receptionist was not there. I had to wait for them to return to get my rooms key along with four other patrons.

Katya was wonderful and very helpful during our stay! She answered all of our questions about the hotel and services with kindness and professionalism. Thank you for making our experience so easy and enjoyable!

Great personelle, very kind

Not much. The shower is a little small, but that’s about it. Sometimes a lil smell can up from the toilet. But it’s no dealbreaker.
