AC Hotel by Marriott Oakland Downtown

Our room was clean and spacious, and staff was helpful with anything with any questions asked. The hotel provides valet only (no self parking) and uses a covered and secured garage so we were relieved but did not keep any valuables in the car. Getting your car can take some time but that is clearly stated from the beginning. They also provide you with a # to text when you’re ready to leave so plan 10-15 min or so ahead of time.

Excellent stay. Staff was awesome! Front desk and valet were so accommodating, professional and friendly. There was a lot of street work going on in and around the area. Don’t let that bother you. The inside of the hotel more than made up for it. Will def stay there again. We were moving in my son to Cal Berkeley and will be staying here again when we visit.

Hotel and experience was just ok. I had everything I needed and the bed was comfortable. Centrally located and easy to get in and out of downtown.

Great Breakfast! The women there attending were also amazing! The ventilation is so dry and the room felt constantly stuffy.

Also, chariging $50 dollars per day for parking in downtown Oakland is outrageous!

Staff was incredibly helpful and kind.

The room was smaller than expected. And I the toilet made a running sound like it was not filling up and the lid to the toilet was off when we arrived. When I flushed the toilet it sound like the chain broke or got tangled so we had to take the toilet lid off and then play with the chain to get the water to fill up so it can flush again. Before we did that the toilet would not flush. And it was making a loud running water noise. But we fixed it. I’m not if it was because we booked through Hotels.com instead of directly that they gave us the smallest room and one with a toilet not working properly? Either way, glad it was a 1 night stay. Other than that it was a good stay.

Only downside was the bathroom door-loud to roll & not very private.

The location and facilities are excellent. Toilet handle broke. So toilet ran all night

The hotel was noisy the entire night so sleep was hard. Sketchy people kept wandering into the lobby and harassing hotel guests to include my daughter. And I asked the hotel staff if the valet was included in the cost of the hotel. They said no so I paid the valet directly. Then the hotel charged my card another 80 dollars for the one night of valet. I do not recommend.
