Rooms: Modern and clean rooms. Very nice and I appreciated housekeeping coming every other day to clean. I loved the ice and water machine on our floor. They had the good ice. Also, there was a guest laundry room that you can download an app and pay. I didn't have a problem with that since I never have cash on me and needed to use it in a pinch. The view we had from our room was probably the worst view ever (another building that wasn't the cleanest) but you're in downtown Oakland so I didn't expect much but also didn't expect that. That room alone should've been discounted. Breakfast: I loved that breakfast is til 10am on weekdays. But, the pork sausage and chicken sausage I'm not a fan. The smoked sausage and bacon were good. Loved that they had hot water for tea available all day as well as coffee, plates and eating utensils. Valet: it's downtown Oakland, there's no place to park so you will be paying $50/overnight stay. Fine. They even have a number you text when you're ready to get your car. Usually in 15 mins you're good. But, if you miss it by a few mins you'll have to wait on valet to come back in order to get your keys. But towards the end of my stay (read very last day) they gave my keys to the front desk person but I didn't know she had them and she didn't know I was looking for the valet guy so I ended up waiting a good 10 mins for him to come. Communication could be better.

I came to Oakland to attend a concert, and the hotel did not disappoint. The location was prefect to the venue. The area had plenty to do,it was a ton of places to eat, which I loved. The hotel was quite, VERY CLEAN,the ENTIRE staff was friendly and helpful. I liked how the hotel had breakfast "fresh" breakfast every morning. My room was clean, bed was soft and comfortable. I do not have anything bad to say about this hotel......but do have a problem with the parking situation, which the hotel has nothing to do with anything outside the doors, except the VIP parking, it's really a rip off to charge $50 overnight. $30 for a day i think,$5 for 1/2 hour. The whole parking thing downtown is CRAZY. Just know next time I will not be renting a car, getting up by 8am to roam the streets because parking is $3 an hour at 8am is bananas, parking becomes free after 6p and hopefully you find a open spot. Hope people read this and don't do what I did, unless you have a lot of money to throw away on parking .I WILL BE USING THIS HOTEL AGAIN. JUST WON'T BE DRIVING LOL YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS HOTEL.

The hotel building and room overall were very clean and felt modern but the restroom was awful. Keep in mind you will not have privacy. The door does not lock, it's one of those annoying sliding doors. If you are sharing a room with other people, they will hear all your business. Other than that the breakfast was good and the room was clean but because of the bathroom I don't think I will stay here again.
