Gorgeous hotel & lovely staff
-
The hotel common areas and room was beautifully designed with plenty of natural light, plants and quiet areas, it truly feels like an Oasis in bustling Oaxaca. The staff were also incredibly generous with their local recommendations, going above and beyond to ensure we had the best time in Oaxaca and an incredible stay at the hotel. The hotel is also secure with a security presence at the front entrance 24/7 Nothing

Very nice

Good design and architecture The hotel is the located on Oaxaca main street with huge buses and trucks passing through all day long. It's the noisiest hotel I've ever been in. The location isn't adapted to a luxury hotel. Don't go there, you'll have a nightmare of nights.

This is my second time staying here. The bed and room is comfortable. I love the patio and balcony rooms. The service is excellent. It’s a very beautiful hotel and the location is excellent. You can walk everywhere easily. The only thing that is a little annoying is it is on the louder side at night. So If you’re a light sleeper like myself, you will probably want to wear ear plugs when sleeping. They actually have them in the room if you need them.

Beautifully designed and really lovely friendly staff.

Beautiful design, handy location, amazing welcome cocktail, considerate service, and nice breakfasts. Lovely to quickly cool off in the pool in the afternoon. We very much enjoyed the amazing tasting menu for dinner on our last night. The noise was the only downside, as other have noted it’s on a main bus route. We took this into consideration and booked a garden patio room (which is slightly below street level) which I think helped a bit - but just use their ear plugs provided, or play white noise if you’re a light sleeper. It was worth it.

property is special from a design perspective. stylish place and good location. concierge was very helpful with organising bookings. thumbs up! we are not sure how it was in the other rooms. it was extremly loud. we stayed in a terrace room. the issue is that there no insulation to the terrace whatsoever. you hear everything and the heat from outside penetrates the room the same way. the air condition can not keep the room at an acceptable temperature. it seems like it would be easy to fix by having better isolation on the terrace doors. it would solve both major problems. food was mediocore. good coffee and good drinks.

Exceptional

The design is great but it’s showing signs of wear. The service and offering doenst match the price. The offering is just a little sloppy and doesn’t match the experience of other designer hotels at this price point. No mini bar / fridge . No coffee or tea facilities, no extra amenities like that. Pool area wasn’t that clean. Staff were friendly but not that professional. Housekeeping had to be reminded. I’m being fussy but at this price point and with only 12 rooms I think that should be the expectation.

design and aesthetics very very noisy rooms

The staff were helpful – friendly breakfast service staff in particular – and the room was very clean and calm. The bathroom was lovely. The breakfast choices were very good. Part of the reason for booking the hotel was the small rooftop pool. Over the 5 days of my stay at the hotel, I never saw anyone use the pool and did not use it myself, as unfortunately, it was very slimy/had not been cleaned and was therefore unusable. Given the calibre of the hotel, I was disappointed by this. It was also a shame that 'speciality coffees' attracted an extra charge at this hotel.

The entire property is beautiful with an exceptional staff. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choices for any type of eater. I am vegetarian. I loved the roof top bar and the drinks. It was a perfect place to end a day in the city. I adored the patio room I was in and the large windows. While I was in Oaxaca I stayed at few properties and this was one of my favorites. I hope to be back soon. It is louder at night, like a lot of people mentioned already. It’s on a busy street so the weekend is louder. But it wasn’t so much I couldn’t sleep and they have earplugs in the bathroom. My daughter who was with me didn’t notice at all so I guess it depends on how light of a sleeper you are.

Stunningly designed; well located; spacious room with great facilities; great food and drink; attentive, friendly staff The pool was a bit slimy; could do with more regular cleaning

Wish there was an option for bright lighting at night.

modern construction using traditional concrete and stucco materials. great architecture. great staff.

beautiful design hotel. we loved the architecture, the lights, the materials. some basics you would expect for that price were not fulfilled. Wi-Fi was not working (staff was overwhelmed and did not know how to resolve that issue), rooms were extremely noisy (it felt like the speaker of the rooftop bar was inside our room).
