Social setting was nice. In the dorm rooms there are curtains around the bed (kinda hard to tell what’s going on from the pics) and it creates like a little room. There are free activities in the hostal like tamales making classes. Nice vibe. Recommended

A great social hostel, fantastic breakfast every morning as well.

The overnight worker was helpful. He tried to correct the mistakes of the day workers. They double booked my room, so I lost a day of my trip figuring out their mess. The Asian woman with a British accent working the front desk on Jan 30th was obnoxious. The 1-star rating is because of her. After the hotel screwed up my booking, she was zero help, and she made comments implying it was my fault. People like that should not be in hospitality. The staff also blasted electronic music right outside my room until 11pm every night.

Social hostel with a very good kitchen. Free home made Mexican breakfast! Hot showers (some of them) and a roof top bar and hang out space. Location was great! a 20 min walk from the bus station and 7 min walk to the plaza. It gets noisy in the dorm as it is right next to the social area in the middle of the hostel. The kitchen also gets very noisy as a busy road with cars drive by all the time and the window-doors are open all day.

    Nothing to dislike

The ambience Wifi doesn’t work in the terrace (which has a setup Of “co-working”. First bathroom smells bad Issues with water everyday (3 nights total) One fridge for too many people I hope the fix the water problem. The hostal has potential.

Sharing in a dorm but without bunk beds, and a privacy sheets between was a great alternative to the traditional hostel bed experience. They foster a very social environment with regular activities that most guests wish to engage in. Gorgeous rooftop for the bar and to hangout on. Excellent location to Centro and the bus station. Maybe if the breakfast could start earlier as 9am is a bit late if you wish to get out and about early. Also it was very cold at night and I only got a thin sheet and blanket, got a bit of a cold because of this, but overall good.

The decorations are unbelievable nice and unique. It has hippie vibes. The stuff is extremely kind and willing to help. We even got a homemade pizza in the evening. The hostel is located in the centre of Oaxaca. Walkable distance from the main bus station.

Staff was really welcoming even if I got there a couple minutes late. Everyone is social and they have a WhatsApp group chat that keeps everyone looped in on events or runs to get stuff that you might need for your stay. The room does get a little hot. Another would be the internet connection was terrible it would keep on disconnecting and it said no signal.

As someone who loves to socialize when I travel, I found this place exceptional. You will meet new friends at all times of the day and they even have a WhatsApp group where staff and guests will share events and things to do. I had a lot of experiences I wouldn't have otherwise had if it weren't for using the WhatsApp group. The water pressure is pretty dismal but I never expect any kind of luxury when staying at hostels. If that's my only complaint, they're doing pretty well.

    Good

Staff is super nice and speak english. There is a pub on the roof witch is a meeting place in the evenings (with happy hour). Lots of common spaces to meet the other people in the hostel. The dorm rooms have some piracy with a curtain. The breakfast is very small and not filling. But a good place to sit and meet people.
