The hotel is in a quiet and nice location. The rooms are very clean. I really liked that the hotel provides free breakfast: Obertraun is quite small, so we did not have to worry about what to eat in the morning. The hotel owners are very nice. IMPORTANT: If you want to take a bus to Hallstatt, you can pay with a credit card right on the bus. And make sure to bring cash! We were unable to ride a boat cause the boat company refuses to accept cards, which is extremely irrational in the 21st century for such a touristy place. Paying interchange fees is well worth it if that brings more business! When you just arrive, it's pretty easy to confuse the hotel entrance and the private entrance where the owners live. But this is a very minor issue. Tiled bathroom floors get pretty cold in the evening and at night, so make sure to bring slippers!

Cleanliness, quiet, comfy, beautiful. We arrived a little early and we didn't find any way to get in contact with the owner other than through the booking app. The owner answered quickly but if there was a bell at the entrance maybe we could have announced our arrival without the need of using the app. But hey, what do I know about B&B, maybe it's a dumb idea.

The view from the balcony is just stunning! If you are looking for a Mountain View workation - is just perfect for that! They don’t have the kitchen for preparing your own food.
