Seehotel am Hallstättersee

The room view was the parking lot, so not very attractive!.

- very quiet area that is far enough the busy Hallstatt area to be relaxing while still close enough to access via ferry or bike. Highly recommend the nearby bike rental place. - the room was quite comfortable despite not having air conditioning. - able to leave luggage by front desk before check in and after check out, although not in a secure luggage room. There are small lockers to keep valuables while storing luggage this way. Pretty small bathroom. The immediate surroundings have very few restaurants and a single supermarket with limited hours. The nearest alternative for food is Hallstatt, which is very busy with tourism. This was fine for a short stay, but would have been problematic had we stayed longer.

This property is in Obertraun, one stop away from Hallstatt. It is by the beautiful Halstatt lake, and the views are magnificent. It is also just a 2 mins walk from the Obertraun Feriendorf busstop from where you can get regular buses to Dachstein Krippenstein (5 fingers cable car station) and to Hallstatt. You can leave your luggage at the reception if you arrive early. I took the basic room with no view, but I enjoyed the park which is 2 mins from the property at the lakefront. The single room had basic amenities (electric kettle etc., a table fan, no airconditioning). What I liked the most was the gesture of the lady at the reception. I was going to leave at 6am in the next morning, earlier than their breakfast time. Since my package included breakfast, the lady packed some food and juice for me the evening before. I was not expecting this, I really appreciated the kindness.

They started construction directly outside of our open window at 6:30am. Most of the view was also obstructed by this new construction. You could barely see any of the lake. There was no parking for us, even though we paid for 2 rooms. We had to find public parking and pay 19 euros.

Location was great, breakfast was nice. Rooms were clean and big enough with everything you would want.

Clean hotel, very good place, some of the rooms and the common parts have view to the lake. No Air conditioning in the room, no mosquito net in the windows (had to keep them open to have some airflow going into the room). There was no door from the room to the bathroom/toilet, the sink was next to the bed - the entire room (bed + toilet + bath space) was no more than 6-7 square meters. It's ok but for 1-2 nights for a single person (the room was for a single person anyways).

Absolutely beautiful walkable to the lake and other amenities, near the train station, beautiful room, simple, yet elegant.

It was an exceptionally wonderful stay. They made sure we were as comfortable as possible. The views, the breakfast, the rooms and the entire property was perfect!

Great location, amazing view, and a very comfortable hotel overall

Loved the location - practically right on the shoreline. The place is very clean and has that authentic alpine charm. The staff were exceptional: friendly, informative, and genuinely supportive throughout the stay. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety. Having a parking spot included was very convenient. Just a few minutes to the lake and nearby trails, literally paradise at the doorstep.

Room was clean. Breakfast is ok. Location is ok too. The front door is always open. Anyone can come to the property easily. I felt is unsafe.

Nice, calm play to stay at. The room was new, with a nice mountain view from the room itself. The lake is only a minute walk away. Pretty poor restaurants choice in the area, but they have a good choice in the pizzeria 50 meters from them. Good for a quick stay!
