Grand Hotel Ocean City Oceanfront

They do what they can; the place is an old, pointless hotel. You have to close the bathroom door every time you go to the bathroom because otherwise it blocks the toilet! We paid way too much for a hotel with terrible service. We paid for three beds: a queen, a king, and a sofa bed. They didn't care and didn't offer any discounts or anything. We had to go back about seven times to get new key cards because they said they stopped working if you put them near the phone or the keys. I never even put them near either of those things, and they still didn't work. It's a terrible place! I wouldn't go back even by mistake, and if I could advertise it so no one would come, I would, because having to go down so many times to get a new key is the worst experience of my life.

Very good hotel and all amenities were fine.

It's an older hotel, so don't expect much. The room was ok, but floor was a little dirty, and actually had change on the floor from a previous guest. The toilet paper holder was broken in the bathroom, and the kitchen didn't have utensils, paper towels or a trash can. We lost money in the soda machine located in the arcade/pool area; but they refunded it at the front desk.

Excellent hotel for its price, location, amenities. I had an ocean view. The morning sunrise was breathtaking.

We were pleasantly surprised, the room was very large and clean. The bed was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

Indoor and door pools need to be heated, for the brisk morning pool activities

Clean room, helpful staff.

The place was terrible. It was very dirty and the railings were disgusting on the outside. It rained and then it piled up on our porch and then did not go away so we had an inch water on our patio. We actually left a day early and wish I could recoup my funds.

Bad!

The cons: we were trying to enjoy time out by the pool but chased inside due to small black biting bugs. It was so bad that a woman went bought bug spray a couple of days prior to us being there. She was kind enough to let us use her bug spray. I did mention it to hotel stuff by the pool. Suggested the bugs could be coming from big potted plants sitting around the pool. Thinking they need to have the plants sprayed regularly. The room ac could have been cooler.

The staff is extremely rude! For the price we pay, it’s shocking how rude and bothered they were with simple questions. It made me feel so uncomfortable the entire time. Stay away and use your money somewhere where they appreciate it.

Definitely recommend for families traveling with kids. The boardwalk is perfect for kids.

Nice property the children really enjoyed the amenities.
