The room was clean but small and only had a fridge and a microwave. Bathrooms are tiny! Not even a place to set toiletries. The property is old and the outdoor spaces were dirty the whole time we were there. Guests leaving garbage laying on the ground outside their room. Old carpet on the walkways. Location was really great that is the one prime thing about it.

Unfortunately, our stay at the Sahara Motel in Ocean City was far from enjoyable. The room was unclean, the beds were old and uncomfortable, and the bedding looked worn and poorly maintained. The furniture throughout the room was extremely dated and several pieces appeared to be falling apart. The balcony was another major disappointment. The door was drafty, and the door handle actually started falling off. On top of that, the constant smell of marijuana made sitting outside on the balcony nearly impossible, completely defeating the purpose of having the space. The bathroom had its own issues—the sink would not drain properly, which was frustrating and unhygienic. To make matters worse, we could hear housekeeping staff fighting and arguing with each other, which certainly didn't create a welcoming or relaxing atmosphere. Overall, the property desperately needs updating, better cleaning and maintenance, and more attention to guest comfort. For the price, I expected a much better experience. I would not recommend the Sahara Motel and will not be returning.

Rooms were ok the air conditioner was awful very loud. Staff was great like the cleaning people were very helpful. I was told it was ocean front but clearly it wasn't they have 3 different buildings and never specified we'd be in the west side which was 2 streets from the beach! So that was a disappointment!!

Never received towels even though we asked several times ! Couldn’t use the dresser it smelled so bad inside ! Bathroom door would not close light didn’t work ! Called down for towels no one would answer phone ! Totally disappointed!!

Was a block and a half to the beach. Was dirty, not enough staff to clean your room. The staff was not helpful. Dated. Carpet was so dirty that your feet were black after 15’ walked.

I liked my view There were cockroaches in the microwave.. didn’t have service for towels, trash bags and was left without service until I had to ask 4 times

Nothing. I didn’t even stay one night. I walked in with my bags, it stink, my bed had crumbs on it, it smelt horrendous, the crowd outside the pool and motel was sketchy. I did not feel safe with my children.

Walking distance and convenience to boardwalk and beach I originally had asked about switching rooms to have an ocean front view and was told that they don’t have ocean front views when they have rooms that are right in front and overlook the ocean which was not okay considering they had told me they didn’t! The waiting time to check in there was a line my family and I had to wait in. We also didn’t have housekeeping service for going on 3 days had to go up to office and tell them we needed our trash taken out and more towels and our floors needed vacuumed due to the sand my family and I had from being out at the beach. It’s a shame because we had stayed with Sahara a few years back and were in the tower building and didn’t have issues with housekeeping. The pool at the oceanfront building here was also gross, there was hair, bugs and I found string floating in the water and a bandaid I quickly removed myself out of water.

Nothing Stayed on 3rd floor no elevators microwave didn't Work ice machine in west building didn't work had to go across the street to get ice. I'm 71 with double knee replacement. It would have nice to know that it had no elevators.

We loved the location, the price & the staff! The room has a bit of a musty smell that was almost impossible to get rid of. Other than that, we loved the motel!

Location was fine Room was terrible. Smoke detector was off the wall. Handle to flush toilet was broke. Bed and pillows were terrible.

Close to beach Not what we paid for completely bogus...bugs in room, no iron board, not very clean.

The breakfast was awesome. The rooms had great view within just a few feet of the boardwalk and sand/surf. The pillows and mattress were not extremely comfortable but everything else made up for that and we spent most of our time doing things and we’re usually too tired to care too much
