Toyoko Inn is probably the most practical and affordable hotel chain, I use them a lot. Location is perfect, a short walk from the station. Rooms are spacious for one person and clean. The walls are incredibly thin, every night I could hear my neighbours talking very late. Only one uncomfortable pillow was provided.

Not bad breakfast for variety and quantity points. The lobby area looks like a mini school cafeteria. Not one single relaxing sofa. In the check-in day I wished the lady with nice uniform and pretty face could be a bit more accommodating and friendlier for people like me: a senior visitor from USA and not familiar with Japanese tablet computer system. All the information was already sent out to them when made a reservation before coming to Japan, But I was made to fill up same info on the tablet. I was very tired and not good with my eyes on the PC. All other hotels in Narita, Nagoya(this one is Toyoko inn, too) and Shiga did quick check-in procedure for me. They were very kind and smiling. Not this Okayama Toyoko inn lady at my check in time. She talked like a strict school teacher or policewoman. But I found later on other people in the reception desk, cleaning and breakfast staff were all nice. My room was clean and good AC run.

Great location, just opposite the main train station, Breakfast was amazing, Good Japanese breakfast, with at least 5 hot items, Soups + come croissants and breads. IT would have been good to have labels on the items so we know what's the item / what's in it Staff were helpful, Good coin laundry No extra facilities, like a bath or some other facilities, But breakfast was amazing.

Very close to the railway and bus station. Restaurants nearby. Toyoko Inns are like McDonalds, a set formula with no suprises, they suit my style of travel. No complaints here

Wonderful location. Just few min walk from the station. Clean. Comfortable and great customer service. Highly recommended. My favorite was able to use laundry facility. Wonderful delicious breakfast. If you are interested in morning breakfast (included), go line up early! I would stay here again! Nothing.
