Hotel Balian Resort Namba Shinsaibashi

The hotel is in a great location just a minute away from the busy area of Dontonbori. It was like walking into a cool sanctuary coming off the hot streets. The free drinks, ice cream and curries etc were much appreciated. The wall to wall bed was quite strange but still comfortable. The room stunk of old smoke. This was our fault for booking a smoking room. Not sure how we didn't notice when booking but still it was unpleasant and we were unable to change rooms. By the second and third day we didn't notice as much.

Great location. Love the Popcorn and the Ice Cream! So near everything, but on the quiet side of the bridge from the Zoo. Room needed a couple of shelves in the corner behind the door to put clothes.

It was so good we had to stay an additional night omg we are so happy with the Balian hotels we are sad we didn’t know about them earlier but next year we will be doing them for the whole trips I love it all! So cool. Our room was the platinum room and we were so happy

Omg… this is genuinely the best hotel we have ever stayed at. It has felt like a blessing from the moment we arrived, and I’m honestly so thankful — to the point that we’ve already decided we’re coming back next year. That’s how special this place is. Everything is spotless and spacious, the service is unbelievable, and the generosity here is next‑level. Free drinks, free food, endless amenities… they offer so many thoughtful bath options that you can create your own spa experience every single night. The free toiletries alone have me obsessed. And the beds? Pure heaven. The kind of comfort you sink into and never want to leave. You simply cannot go wrong staying here. It’s rare to find a place that feels this magical. There’s nothing I don’t like ITS AMAZING

This is a quirky hotel in the thick of the action. Many amenities and rooms with all the appointments for a comfortable stay. Very friendly staff who were also helpful with suggestions on places to see and eat. I’ll stay here again.

Quoted and paid one price for three on booking and was charged and extra 310 in an accusatory tone in the middle of the night even though we all went to the desk to hand our passports in. I stay at love hotels (not ones with kids. Kills the atmosphere) and I am used to an honest pay scale. I also borrowed a hair straightener and returned it the next day and was asked about it in checkout. Idk it's disorganized. Not worth it honestly their other properties have better amenities and no kids. Beds are hard and pillows are flat

everything, it was an incredible value. huge selection of free amenities to choose from, free alcohol, curry, ice cream, cotton candy, etc. the room was clean and spacious and it was like a five min walk to dotonbori. I 100% would book this place again nothing, 10/10

It was very clean, and the incense smelled very nice. They had a tropical paradise vibe, but within walking distance of a few of the hot parts of Osaka. They also have all the amenities you need. The automatic light in the entry room has no off switch.

Loved the lobby curry (delicious) and all the lobby amenities. The room was comfortable with a big bathtub with jets for chilling.

So many amenities. Great location. Room was spacious enough. Great selection of TV movies. Love the food and coffee station. We really liked all the toiletries too. Only 2 pillows and they weren't very comfortable.

The coolest place I stayed at during my 3 week vacation throughout Japan. Best bathroom of the whole trip. Very clean. Great location near to metro access. Feels like an oasis in the city as it is quiet and peaceful. Loved the bathtub with tv. The massage chair was helpful after all the walking. Very good restaurants, cafes, live music venues, and cocktail bars nearby. I would definitely stay here again.

We booked it without really knowing what to expect. Spoiler: it was great. The location was top notch, perfect to explore and enjoy Osaka. The staff is really nice, there’s plenty of services (from a curry bar to a station to grind your own coffee beans, as well as all the beauty products you might need) and the room was bigger than the standard room. Because of the nature of this hotel (a love hotel from my understanding), you have to leave the key at the reception every time you leave the hotel. I didn’t find it problematic nor understand why it’d be a problem, especially since there’s someone 24/7 at the front desk. Wouldn’t recommend to a family with children but definitely worth it for a couple or friends.
