I liked the location being close to everything. The owner also was very kind and helpful in helping us find the best way to get to our next destination. Smiles and waves as we came and went was always appreciated! The staff was very kind and courteous.

A bit too busy an area for us. Would've liked to have had a restaurant on site.

Location was great, easy to access trains and find places to eat. Some noise but not too loud

The room and beds were comfortable and clean. The housekeeping staff in the morning were polite and excellent. You could only get coffee in a small paper cup.

This ryokan is in a great location that is close to everything. I think it would be wonderful for couples and solo travelers who are wanting to take advantage of the nightlife that Osaka offers. I confirmed before check in that it was okay to get into the onsen with a tattoo and they asked that I go during off times as to not offend anyone. Which knowing the culture of Japan I was totally fine with. Both times I went to the onsen was around 8:00 or 9:00 p.m. and no one else was there so it was never an issue. Because you are on Dotonbori it is so loud until 11:00 p.m. The windows do not help contrary to some reviews. So, bring your white noise machine and an eye mask because the room doesn't go completely dark. Also, on the check in paperwork it says that they have breakfast however they stopped that a year ago. They did not advertise on booking so that when I checked in I wasn't expecting it, but I was confused so I thought I would add that in.

Friendly and helpful staff, especially with assisting our reservation upon arrival. The onsen was very nice and we even had it to ourselves, which made the experience more relaxing The pamphlet indicated that breakfast was included, but it was not available due to low staffing Our non-smoking room still had a noticeable smoke smell The hotel enforces a curfew from 1 AM to 6 AM, and guests are not allowed back in during those hours, which can be inconvenient

Was exactly as advertised. Great location, only 15 minute walk from nearest JR station and close to the fun food section of Osaka. Quiet, safe, simple, on the small side, but super clean and everything worked. Staff is great, speaking decent English. Only regret is that we didn't book early enough to have the river view and didn't get to try to public bath. Good excuses to come back! Nothing really. Was a little small but enough for two people on a budget.

Amazing value, warm welcome, great amenities, and perfect location! Nothing.

The room was cute, floor beds were pretty comfortable, and looking over the river was cool It was loud at night, but that should be expected
-
Comfy bed
-
Friendly staff and clean property.
-
location snd helpful staff, communal bath beds not too comfy

Nice people on their reception of us, we were able to store our luggages for free before and after our stay. Such beautiful room and view. There is never a thing you will not like here. Everything is special.

Location was great, except for when the tourist boats were running in the evenings, when a lot of outside noise penetrated the double-glazing. Staff was so friendly. No reading lamps in the room. Futons were very low to the floor (to be expected). We managed to get up and down but it was a struggle.

Absolutely loved it Nothing
-
Very convenient with a nice onsen available The spa had limited hours and breakfast was not included unless we booked it ahead of time and then they did not have space for us
-
The staffs are very professional and helpful. The AC inside the room was too cold. I missed big bowls and spoons, forks and knives in the kitchen.
-
Great location in the most animated area of Osaka, a great mix of modernity and tradition
-
Location, room is darkened and comfortable.traditional Japanese hospitality experience. Bathroom small and outdated

The staff were genuinely helpful and friendly, which we truly appreciated. The location and the view were both amazing. Staying in a traditional ryokan right in the heart of Dotonbori made the experience truly unique—a must-visit! There were no properly sized towels, and the ones provided seemed quite old. I didn’t enjoy the breakfast, although I believe that’s more due to the traditional Japanese breakfast style—with items like pickles and fish—rather than any fault of the hotel.
