Fourz Hotel Kintetsu Osaka-Namba

Neat and clean and very nice location All fine

Hotel has a public bath on the 15th floor and a system to conveniently store your luggage before and after check in.

Location was very near Dotonbori and other restaurants, drugstores, convenience stores, Namba train station and Ebisu shopping street. Check-in and check-out process was very seamless and fast. Staff was very helpful - we had a problem on our TV, and the staff made sure to address it asap! I was expecting a small cramped room but it exceeded expectations as the room was spacious enough to open our bags. The Standard Twin room is good for couples and families, while the Compact Double Room is good for singles. Wasn't able to experience the public bath but was able to visit it and it had good facilities. None! But to improve other guest services, would be great to add an ice machine or laundry service :)

The shower was incredibly spacious and the shower head features were wonderful. There were plenty of free toiletries in the lobby area which were nice to have access to. The room was kind of small but it was still very nice, clean, and had a nice layout. It's also only a short walk away from Dotonbori street and the Namba Walk but is still quiet. Would absolutely reccomend.

Absolute WORST hotel I have ever booked! I don’t even know where to start with everything that was wrong with this hotel. The building is old, the rooms are old, the room is so small you can barely walk in it let alone get any luggage in there, the room was dirty, the room smelled, the manager was a nightmare, and I don’t know why this hotel doesn’t have lower ratings. This was our first trip to Osaka, Japan, and we did not realize that most of the hotel’s have a rule only two people per room, regardless of room or bed size. We had our daughter with us, and the other hotels accommodated us and let her stay with us, but charged an additional fee. This hotel flat out refused to let the three of us stay together, and they were completely sold out so we couldn’t purchase a second room. We decided for my daughter and I to stay at the hotel, and my husband to walk to another hotel and get a room there. After being in the room for only 10 minutes, we left and went and stayed at my husband’s hotel. I had put the slippers on that are given in the room, and when I looked at the bottom of them, there was hair on them like the floor was not clean. There was also a smell to the room like it had not been cleaned. I emailed the hotel and asked for a refund because I had left the room due to it not being clean. The hotel refused to give me a refund. I DO NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. The hotel that my husband checked into not only accommodated us by allowing our daughter to stay in the same room with us, but upgraded our room at no cost so that we had more space. That hotel is within walking distance. Everything. Horrible experience.

Great location (I’m not someone who loves busy cities but if you want this, its a great location)

Location!!! Hotel was so easy to find and so many great places to eat, shop, and explore nearby. I especially like that once we step out of Namba Station, it is literally a direct/straight walk to the entrance. My partner especially loved that the room came with free access to the spa/onsen upstairs. And it wasn't even crowded! The check-in was a little difficult because the machine didn't work the way it was meant to. So a staff was called to assist with a manual check in. Our view wasn't all that, and I'm not sure why there was a balcony despite no way to get to it.

The pillow was uncomfortable

The breakfast was quite disappointing (dry sandwiches or sweet bread/loaf). On top of that, they asked us for our orders in advance, confirmed via email, but got the orders wrong. We tried to get our luggage delivered to the airport, but they were only somewhat helpful in this regard.

Great location. Close to Dotonburi. A very lively area with a lot going on if that is what you are looking for. The property does not have laundry facilities. I chose this property as they have a public bath on the top floor but ended up only using it once. The rooms were small and I needed to move things around to make it work.

Vending machine on the 15th floor had no way to get change or pay with Suica as it was late at tonight the front desk could not give change.

It was a prime location in Osaka. About 5-10 mins walk to Dontonbori. Metro line is accessible (nearest station Namba). Restaurants/eateries in general is very easy to find and within walking distance. There are also an abundance of convenience stores around the area (7/11, Family Mart, Lawson etc.). Overall an excellent experience. 10/10 would book this hotel again if I ever come back to Osaka in the near future. Nil

Great place to stay if you want to be within close walking distance from a major station and also near popular shopping areas like Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori. There's also a 7-11 literally right across the entrance. I was originally debating between staying closer to Umeda or Namba but I'm glad I chose Namba because there wasn't much to do in Umeda compared to the latter. The check-in kiosks are technically unmanned but staff do come out of a room to assist if you need help with anything, like holding your luggage if it's before check-in time. They have an area to pick up general amenities like coffee sachets, tea, shower cloths, etc. right before the elevators. I liked our room, it wasn't huge but it was spacious enough that we (2 adults) had room to open our carry-ons on the floor. The toilet, sink and showers were also separated which is nice, I don't like when hotels combine those into a single enclosed area. And another positive that some people may not think about: they have 2 elevators! So you're not waiting for a long time to go up or down, which can happen if the whole building has to share 1 elevator. The luggage storage system made us a little bit nervous, because technically you choose a space with a combination lock with a metal rope that threads through all of your luggage handles. But it's still an open area accessible by anyone, so unless it's being watched very, very closely by staff and they happen to notice if someone's trying to open a pocket or zipper in your luggage/bag that doesn't belong to them, I feel like it'd be relatively simple for someone to sneak their hand in another person's bag and take something. So we had to carry some valuables around with us in backpacks instead until check-in time.

The staff was helpful, you can store your luggage before checking in and after checking out so that you can explore, shop and eat without dragging your luggage with you. Beds were comfortable. Rooms were always cleaned. No laundry service was available nor was there an onsite laundry room.

Staff was super friendly. The onsen was great and space was clean as well. The room had a musty smell to it. Only one pillow in the room. Otherwise it was very clean.

The bathhouse is not the best, but it’s clean! The hotel does not do luggage delivery.

The hotel location is kind of a miracle, since you are very close to Dontonbori (probably 50 meters), but since it is in a back alley it is not noisy and calm. You are also 50 meters away from subway, and 20 meters away from a great convenience store. We saw other hotels we had seen that are parallel to the river and Dotonbori street and were relieved we went for this option instead, since to the north side of the river all the nightlife concentrates, while on the south side all the restaurants, making it more busy and noisy, than where this hotel is located. We also were glad to stay in Namba compared to Umeda, since Umeda does not make you feel you are in Japan. It may be convenient for shopping but not so much to explore Osaka. They clean your room every day, and it was always spotless. The room is not big, as usual in Japan, but still functional and comfortable. The WC is detached in a separate closet from the rest of the bathroom (which had a decent size). Checkin and out are a breeze. You can leave your luggage in a separate room with locks that you can handle on your own. Water and coffee along other amenities are complementary. The only downside of the hotel is the pillow (note singular), you get one small pillow per person which was hard and filled with seeds or something, and that the bed sheets continuously got out making it a mess over night.
