Bombora Surf Camp

The pool was nice and the location was very good. The staff was very nice. There was mold in the bathroom, it was not clean, and the shower drain clogged up every time we used it even after maintenance “fixed” it. The sink was full of green algae and mold and smelled disgusting. The bathroom smelled like a porta potty because they kept using gross urinal cake looking things in the shower and in the toilet?! The air conditioning did not work at all.

The breakfast is really good

The reception staff were very friendly and helped me find out about all the events in Al Watwa. I would like to thank them. The location is excellent, Close to restaurants, Cafes, and events, And I liked the energy and vibrancy of the place.

Bombora is a really nice accommodation. Pool table and pool make it fun to hang out and socialize, while it also quiets down very early if you are looking to relax. A good location on the loop and I will definitely be staying here again any time I am in uluwatu.

Showers weren’t so great

The main positive thing about this stay is location. It is in walking distance from Padang Padang beach and a bit further to Bingin beaches but still not too far. Lost of shops and restaurants around, just like next to most of the stays in Uluwatu. I guess this is not a good choice if you are hoping for relaxing and chill stay solo or with company. It looks like better fit for a younger surfers, who only need a simple bed and shower. But it’s not worth the money. For bed and shower there’s plenty of cheaper places. On checking in stage staff starts telling you their rules and that you will be charged and fined if you don’t follow them, if you make stains on bed sheets , even though the bedsheets came with stains dirty when I checked in. First of all there was construction going on just next to their tiny pool, which is not really for chilling and swimming but looks just like it was done just to have it on the pathway from reception to the building itself. So you wouldn’t be able to sit and chill around the lobby or other common areas, cuz it’s dusty and loud from constructions. The sink was full of someone’s red beard hair, which I didn’t notice when checked in until I had to brush my teeth. It was then cleaned once I complained, thanks to the staff, they are trying to do all they can actually, but management of this hotel is really bad. It is also located just behind the bar where people sing and play music until late night. In the same street. During my stay I had young neighbours, who screamed all night playing “games” literally waking me up in the middle of my sleep. Staff said they talked to guests, also they offered me laundry free of charge for that. but they started disliking me for my complaints. They texted me in the morning of checking out day with kind reminder and saying that they will charge me for late check out. It got me irritated because all they cared was to charge and fine again. I checked out after they checked the room after me. Everything was fine otherwise they would’ve told me. But after 3 days leaving this hotel, I received a notification from booking.com saying that this hotel manager reported about damage in the room after 3 days I left! All because of my complaints.

Location It’s a little expensive for what it is and there is construction work all day

They noticed us 2 days before our arrival that they were making construction arrangements at the hotel. They were workers all day by the pool: cooking in the common area and invading bad small all the place. Also the wifi didn't work and the washbasin was almost falling in the room.

Great location - close to everything

Good central location, near some nice and bars and eateries like the place with no name Was informed there was ‘some construction work ongoing to enhance a building’ on WhatsApp the day of my arrival. Half the hotel is a building site, about 12 construction workers there from 8-6 each day, about 1m from the pool which meant you can’t hang out in the hotel at all. Reception staff were lovely, but really bad end to my holiday, far better options close by. It doesn’t look even near finishing for several months. Pool also out of action for one of the days I stayed.

We loved the location Kettle and tea making facilites in the room and more importantly a fridge.

Very good location & staff are very helpful- especially the ladies working at the reception. There was maintenance going on throughout our stay along with the pool being shut for the first day and a half. The towels also had a very damp smell.

Best parts of the place: its location, the welcoming cafe, pool and cleanliness.

Comfy bed good location Although they did tell us about the work being done we didn’t realise it would be right next door to us beginning at 8am in the morning which is exceptionally early especially for people travelling, there was a terrible smell coming from the drain in our bathroom also
