Very well located, close to many restaurants and nice cafes. The room was super nice and well decorated. Staff was friendly and helpful, accomodating all our needs. We only missed having a blackout curtain, in the morning the room was very bright.
-
Beautiful place and amazing and helpful staff, both reception, waiters and surf coaches. Delicious pancakes Due to ongoing constructions it was pretty noisy, specially in the morning

Cosy houses Limited water or it was breakdown

A nice clean studio, good value for money. The place is located 5 min walk from the main street. Very helpful staff and good service.

Really liked the community vibe of the stay. Everyone has private small houses/bungalows to live in but in the evening there is dinner together, people go out to surf together and watch live music in evenings. Great for meeting new people from all over the world

A lovely quiet location, with nice pool and lovely large rooms. I didn’t have a scooter, you need a scooter, it’s a good walk back to the main shops.
-
The studio appartments were beautiful There was so many ants and only one air conditioner at the top which didn’t cool down the whole place

Their attention to detail is on point, and the atmosphere, location and facilities are excellent. No complaints, and a lot to praise.

Beautiful little peace haven with a luxurious garden, very nice swimming pool, it feels like a little peaceful retreat. I liked the staff, which was very kind, being the receptionists, kitchen staff and surf instructions. The bungalow is quite spatious (I was able to lay down on mat and do some stretches and light exercises without touching walls or bed) and has powerful AC. The soundproofing of the room isn't great, we can hear the nearby roads and scooters quite a lot. The bathroom feels a bit sloppy; it smells, the water pipes have an irregular water flow, and the floor isn't even which made my partner hit her toe against one of the tiles. The place isn't perfectly closed off from the outside so some mosquitoes/animals can get in (like a lizard, which pooped on our bed the first day) The restaurant breakfast (which isn't included) and lunch is good although not wow, and a bit expensive compared to other restaurants in Uluwatu. The hotel itself is in a bit of a maze 10/15 mn walk from the town; there's a "shortcut" path through the jungle to get to the road faster but it's full of mosquitoes and litter, watch out when you go there.

cute property toilet stinks. The pipes are old and stunk

At night there was a terrible noise from motorbikes, people screaming. An incredibly disturbing noise every night. The location is bad also. The rooms are ok. Do not rely on any food service availability on property. All they had was instant oatmeal.

Beautiful quiet area. The greenery makes it so magical. Absolute pleasure to stay here. The small cafe on site is also some of the best cafe food in the area

It was clean, but not much else unfortunately. Writing this review as I feel it's important for fellow travellers to be aware of the age demographic. We booked Tamuku and were greeted with 'Welcome to Cari' when we arrived. At first I thought we'd been dropped at the wrong place, but it turns out we'd booked ourselves into a surf camp. Initially this didn't phase us as I've stayed in plenty of surf camps and resorts over the years. But now we're in our early 50s and prefer to stay in quiet areas. Unfortunately Tamuku/Cari was anything but quiet even though some reviews suggested it was. There is constant noise from the busy road that is separated by around 100m of bushland. Motorbikes, trucks etc run 24/7, this would be ok if the rooms were sealed properly, but unfortunately the roof just sits on the brickwork and the noise enters the room and travels into the open roof cavity which seems like the traffic is just outside your door. Add to that mosquitos that enter and the lack of mosquito nets, we were scratching ourselves the entire 3 days we stayed. Some PU expanding foam would go a long way here!! The staff engaged with the learn to surf squad every night drinking and singing which was ok as they finished relatively early around 9-10pm. What became evident was that the Surf Camp is for a much younger demographic and we were simply staying in the wrong place. So if you're in your 20s or 30s it's probably a great place for you, if not, I'd recommend somewhere down the road in Bingin where you'll get a good nights sleep without all the road noise.
