Breakfast, location We had to change room, the second night because in the first one it has a narrow window that opens on garbage alley. For the second room, we had to empty the air conditioner's drainage bucket. Bed was uncomfortable, no mattress protection, mattress was old and very dirty on both sides. That was disgusting

Great location but the hotel was very outdated and a bit makeshift. I don’t know what our room was previously, maybe in office? But there was so much space that it was hard for their Air Conditioner to cool it down. I don’t understand what made this hotel a four-star hotel, other than the location

Like staying in a palace. So grand! And you can’t do better than this location Pack light: lots of stairs!

Beautiful room. Nice location Bed was hard. Breakfast arrangements weird - they strongly encouraged in room breakfast (not the usual buffet, and not saying this before I booked), and then lost my breakfast reservation on the day I left when I needed to get a flight.

Need a little update

The location is perfect. There’s nothing that I disliked about the property.

What a unique and stunning property! You really feel that history of Sicily and Palermo here. Such ornate design and build. Nothing I didn't like, just note they are on the top.floor with no elevator but if you let them know ahead of time they will have someone to carry your luggage for you. The stairs are good after eating all of the food and gelato!

It was in a great location and the accommodations were great. The owner was very helpful and made herself available for anything we might need. Great views and beautiful apartment.

This was an incredible historic apartment in the heart of the old city, spacious, comfortable, and so beautifully decorated. It was a bit noisy in the evening because the room faced a busy city square, but it was expected from the descriptions. It got quiet around 11:30 or so.

It was a little bit old.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Al Massimo Piacere. Gabriella is a very pleasant and attentive host...The location is outstanding for access to shopping, site seeing and dining...

This place is a beautiful, huge apartment with high ceilings consisting of a kings suite and a junior one each with private bathrooms. Kitchen and living is shared. Rooms are huge, bathroom was comfortable and beds thick and warm, kitchen has all you need. The design is classical Italian as its a renovated family home. Gabriella, the host, is very helpful and friendly. I had the kingssuite which has a nice balcony overview the theater. All was great

The location could not have been more central! Walking distance from everywhere. The staff were super friendly and helpful. It is an older hotel, but well maintained and clean. Parking and access with luggage was a bit of an issue because it is in a pedestrian zone… unfortunately we don’t travel light, so I suggest carry on or back pack only if staying here.

The flat was more beautiful than pictured, located in a bustling part of the city across from the opera house. No complaints! It is important to be aware that you share the apartment with another guest room - each with it's own private bath.
-
Perfect location. Our room looked out over the … trash bins:(
-
Perfectly located with a wonderful view of the Teatro Massimo! Amazing frescos on the ceiling. There is not anything we did not like. However you should know it is 65 steps up ( which gives you the wonderful view). And you share the common are with another guest. Which was no problem for us.

very friendly staff, excellent breakfast

Location was excellent - room quiet but small. Facilities a little basic - plastic cups for tea are always going to be a fail for a Brit. Breakfast in the lounge was intimate yet sufficed. The balcony was 'Authentic' ie. it looked out on an alleyway yet that made the room quieter than those that faced the Piazza - you takes your choice. Stay here if you want to be right in the action in Palermo and don't intend to hang out in your room/hotel much. The staff were unfailingly brilliant in attitude and actions. Tea & coffee facilities - proper cups please

Great location, convenient to major sights Steep set of stairs leading to the entrance, although staff carried luggage to the entrance

The location was PERFECT, the staff very accomodating! The rooms were much larger than normal European hotels, There was an offer of breakfast in the room that we did not use, but would have been awesome had we not been traveling as a group. There is no lift for luggage, but the staff was willing to assist. There were no other things our group of 6 did not like
