Walking distance to TGV and bus line No airconditioning but our room has fans in it

No A/C

The hotel itself was okay. The room was a bit small but nicely decorated and the bathroom looked quite newly done. Breakfast was fairly standard. As soon as we arrived in the room we saw ants. They were already in the room and climbing on everything. We went straight back to reception and the person on duty came and sprayed and mopped them. We left our cases closed and went out to eat. We came back and there were more ants so he came and sprayed again. I asked to change room and was told they were fully booked so it was not possible. He advised to see what was available in the morning. If it was not so late at night I would have changed hotel right there and then. My daughter and I had a terrible nights sleep as she was scared and uncomfortable. The next morning we went to reception with our bags. I asked about changing rooms and the answer I got was so strange. She told me the rooms were all booked, but what she could do, is give me someone else's room who had not arrived and they would just give my room to someone else? That did not sit right with me as its just passing the issue to someone else, so I asked if we could just cancel the next night of our stay. She said yes and went ahead and got it cancelled while we went to breakfast. We went back to reception and the owner was there. He had very little English and wanted me to go up to the room to show him what the issue was. I went with him and a cleaner who spoke English to help with the language barrier. I showed them the issue. There were still ants there. He didn't even really look at the ants. The owner was more concerned with the fact that I had cancelled my booking rather than go to another room. He repeated 5 times that he was doing us a favour and that no other hotel in France would just cancel a booking halfway through. He was annoyed at the receptionist for doing the cancellation. No apology or even mention of the ants. I did not ask for a refund as I could tell from his attitude there was no point. I stopped trying to speak with him eventually as it was not helpful. I don't normally write reviews, but I hope this helps others.

Lots of ants in the bathroom and in the room! No A/C, it was like an oven in June that we could barely breath!

The bed

Clean rooms and helpful staff. Though there wasn’t air conditioning in the room, the fan that was provided kept me comfortable during the heatwave.

Kind and accommodating staffs with fast service. Location is great, near metro and busstops and the room was nice and clean. The room had two working electric fans and the bathroom was fresh and clean. Staff provided us with chilled waterbottles under the heatwave during our stay which was kindly appreciated! The water pressure in the shower could be improved but not a big deal for the price.

No air conditioning in room, location was slightly farther than I thought.

The location and the friendly staff at the location. Small shower with tight entry exit access, ants in the bathroom, carpets were old and stained, cleaning staff constantly entered the room even with the do not disturb tag on the door.

Even though the fan provided is a huge plus, it could be cleaned more.

The staff included breakfast in my stay without any extra charge. They didn't have to do this. In addition the location is away from a busy street and my room was towards the back and away from the street. Whilst I could hear a little bit of noise from the neighbouring room it was minimal. In addition there was a reasonable sized room (by Paris standards) and it had proper climate control with an additional electric fan. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Not much really.

Good value for money for a one night stay. Not fancy, but fine for the price.

Around one hour is needed to the center if traveling by foot, so the location is ok, relatively close to the touristic areas. The room has a private bathroom that has a window. The room also has a window even though the room is quite small, you can make it breathable with the window The bed linen was dirty which forced us to sleep in clothes

Door was hard to shut, room was a little warm.

The room is very nice and ample space to move around. The location is very central and in the middle of all the activities. Breakfast is served in a restaurant opposite the apartment and good it is good and served by very friendly staff. nothing to complain about

The hotel itself was good - great location, near a train station. Lovely staff. Loved the balcony in our room with nice view. We chose this hotel because it has a lift and walking distance from Eurostar station (Gare du Nord) as we had luggages. We find the location handy for this reason. Room was quite small but we could store on luggage underneath the bed. Some shops, cafes, and restaurants around. Could explore some tourist attractions by foot from the hotel. However the nearest train station is Barbès - Rochechouart - I felt so unsafe at night, lots of gangsters, drunk people standing at entrance/exit of the station. It was very scary I can tell! If you choose to stay here, just dont get back late at night, mornings were totally fine. NA
