Beautiful room. Lovely bath robes and very comfortable bed. Very expensive. €500 for one night without breakfast and we had to pay €9 for biscuits, toblerone and Pringles in our room. Also we had to wait over half an hour to check out as only one person on reception.

The staff told us that we had an upgrade but we did not see any upgrade as the view was on the homeless people and toilets. The view in the second room was ok. The receptionist did not help at all, the only person (staff) that was helpful was the person who brings the luggage to the rooms.

Lovely rooms with good views. The rooms have good storage space. The guest amenities provided were very good as well. The hotel is conveniently located in the République area, a quick subway journey away from most of the tourist locations:) The rooms could be a little more spacious for the price, otherwise nothing to complain about.

For Paris, the room was of a decent size and it was indeed soundproof. Again, a big plus in a city where most buildings have old thin walls. It was very clean when I arrived. The room service staff were very friendly and efficient. The location is great, you can walk to Le Marais or catch the subway at one of Paris' most connected stations "Republique". Lots of food and coffee shop options nearby. The booking process was such a pain and the staff was simply not helpful. I got contradicting messages and phone calls after trying to make a very simple change to my arrival date. When I arrived, I was also greeted by a very cold young man who seemed in a bad mood. That's fair. Except not in a 5 star hotel. And that's the thing, this hotel is not to 5 star standards. 4 at best because Paris hotel rooms have low standard for infrastructure reasons (old buildings, thin walls, tiny rooms are the norm and in this case, you have a little space and the soundproofing is great). The room service staff was excellent and very friendly, but the reception staff was either rude (young man upon arrival) or neutral but inefficient (booking process).

Good location, rooms are good for Paris. We stayed at Renaissance Hotel Paris and had a very upsetting experience. After housekeeping entered our room, we noticed that my fiancé’s wallet had clearly been opened and $1600 USD in cash was missing. We cannot prove exactly what happened, but we strongly believe this occurred during the cleaning service, as the money was there before and disappeared right after. We reported the situation, but unfortunately we felt there was no real solution offered and we left feeling extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. This is a serious matter and we would strongly recommend that future guests use the hotel safe at all times and be extremely cautious with valuables. Very disappointing experience for a hotel of this level.
