WS Saint-Lazare - Opera

Location

Proximity to everywhere. It was right in the centre of PARIS. Beautiful view from the so called balcony Terrible Service, Poor Ventilation, they Tricked me. Stopped responding to emails at some point.

The only positive aspect was the location. It was close to public transportation and convenient for exploring the city. Apart from the location, we were very disappointed with our stay. The room was extremely small, poorly ventilated, and I am not even sure it was properly cleaned. There was no reception, and despite sending several messages, we never received any response. Communication with the property was impossible, which caused us significant inconvenience. We were only able to check in two hours later than expected, and there was nowhere to leave our luggage while we waited. Overall, the lack of communication and poor service made our stay very frustrating.

Location, being next to the metro was convenient. 1) No AC, the entire building was extremely hot and stuffy. The room was even worse. 2) The elevator does not work. 3) They would not let us check-in until 5pm due to their staff being behind on cleaning. 4) Unlike a hotel that has a reception, this place does not have one so we could not store our luggage nearly all day while we waited. 5) We finally got to store our luggage in the room at our original check-in time (3pm) while it was still awaiting cleaning, and the staff left the door open after they were done with it while our baggage were sitting in the room.

Everything. The location. The balcony. The apartment was small but perfect for us. Small functional kitchenette. The balcony was amazing. If you haven't stayed in a major city before it may be a little noisy for you but we loved hearing the sounds of Paris. We really did not want to leave. You are literally close to EVERYTHING including buses, trains, trams and the airport. Street food, American food, french food, deli and bakery foods. The city is so walkable but the public transportation was amazing. We LOVED the location. The elevator was tiny and slow but at least they had an elevator. We could fit 2 at a time in the airport or 1 person and 1/2 of our luggage. The room is 5 stories up. The listing says 4th floor but it doesn't start at floor one, so you have to walk up 5 steep flights of steps so I would not recommend this for anyone with small children or elderly people or anyone who isn't in good enough shape to climb the steps. The shower/bathroom was extremely tiny but it isn't America so we expected it. They had a tankless water heater though so we could take long showers after a day of walking.

The rooms are very small as noted in the listing. Other than that, all good.

Location We hace to call for new towels and to take out the garbage.

Nothing, it was awful. The entry was dirty and depressing. Place looks very unsafe. Building entrance with broken lucks, doble entrance doors dirty and faded.

Location was great, room was nice and spacious. We had an issue that happened in our room pretty late at night and the hosts were very quick to respond and immediately rectified the situation which was fantastic.

Location was great and easy for exploration of the city via St Lazare station and metro. Apartment is very stuffy (no AC) with 1 small fan per room. Despite the AC, every single night the apartment below us held parties until 5 am. It was extremely loud, difficult to sleep, and the heat did not help the equation. Not good value.

Location was great. Hotel had everything we needed for a family of 4. Yes, it’s small, but in this location and in the middle of the city; you couldn’t ask for more at a great price with many places to eat nearby. The shower was clogged.

This apartment was very well located and very near the Metro. It was spotlessly clean. The apartment contained everything one would need. The beds were comfortable. The shower was hot and water pressure was reasonable. The staff were very helpful via the phone. It was very, very small. I doubt it would be comfortable for more than 2 or 3 nights for 2 or more people. A big person would have a problem accessing the shower. We were on the fourth level, and on the last day, the lift was not working. Luckily, we did not have much luggage. In Paris terms, it may have been value for money but in my view it was expensive for what you got.

The area generally felt safe, though we did occasionally see individuals experiencing homelessness near the apartment entry during late evenings and early mornings. On one occasion, we had to carefully step around someone resting by the door. As with any urban area, it's wise to remain aware of your surroundings and use standard precautions.
