The Island Hotel Near Beach Port Aransas

It was to be expected for the price

We stayed for 2 nights and had a nice experience overall. The room was spacious and comfortable, breakfast was included, and parking was easy with no issues. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and it was a nice place to stay for our vacation. The only downside was that it was a little loud at times and one sheet had blood stains.

Comfortable beds and great showers. My only concern is that the towels are very rough and the pillows didn’t give much support.

Front desk staff were rude and barely spoke. “Breakfast included” consisted of bagels, toast, waffles and cereal. No information regarding times for breakfast was given upon check-in. A/c in room did not cool below 75, it was so humid in the room, I could not get dry after showering. For what this room cost for one night, I would have expected a LITTLE more service. Deadbolt on door also did not work.

They advertised breakfast. That was not a breakfast, unless you’re 6 years old. Cereal and waffles are not breakfast.

Room also had fleas. Not enough parking.

Decent room for the price and if you’re looking to stay near the beach.

The Island Inn was a total disappointment. What was advertised was not what we found there. It was a cheap motel at a high price hotel rate. The room was so small that as soon as you opened the door you literally ran into the bed. A small table with 2 chairs were behind the headboard of the bed. At the foot of bed was a window. The two chairs were torn. Room was dirty and size of the room was the same as a dressing room.

Clean room, breakfast was a good start off meal, room was nice and cold, staff was very nice.

This hotel was very basic for the cost and the description said beach front and this was definately not beachfront

Very minimal staff from house keeping to the breakfast room. Had to ask front desk staff to refill coffee containers to waffle dispenser. Had only two house keepers for entire hotel. Our room was never cleaned on our entire stay.

We have stayed here many times over the years and this last visit I saw a definite decline in property upkeep, cleanliness, decor. I was very disappointed. Will not be staying here in the future .

Room was ok clean for beach hotel. It’s a smoke free, tobacco free property. There are signs everywhere YET people we puffing up the joints ALL NIGHT and smell of skunk was in our rooms (we have several rooms). There was an additional $100 hold on our card at time of check in that was not mentioned at time of booking! I sure hope we get refunded!!

We recently stayed at this hotel for a quick 2 day beach visit. I give the hotel an overall rating of 3 out of 5 stars. Do not expect a luxurious stay. Location of the hotel is not ideal, still had to drive to access the public beach. Staff was friendly, the rooms were clean. Breakfast was not best, had basic food items to choose from cereal, milk, toast, oj, coffee etc. Did have a waffle maker, though, that was a plus; however, no eggs, bacon, or other breakfast meats to go with the waffles. Needless to say my kids were disappointed and so was I. Looking for a place just to sleep, this is it.

breakfast was good. If you like eggs they didn't have any. Room was ok. There were hairs in the shower and room was a little dusty

The room felt very dirty, the sheets looked dirty... we slept on top of our beach towels...

Hotel was very outdated. Front desk was no friendly and breakfast was sub par. By the 3rd day they were out of some stuff and low on most everything else

Nice hotel for a short stop. The beds seemed clean and were comfortable. The AC worked well.
