Hyatt Place Portland Downtown - Old Port Square

Perfect location to explore!

Rebekah our housekeeper was very pleasant. I think all services are too automated and staff does not know how to treat people when asked. Not a good experience at this hotel and will not recommend to our out of town guests again.

We had a really great stay in Portland and this hotel was lovely. I was very happy. We were able to bring our dog and the staff was so accommodating and sweet even giving our dog some treats. The breakfast buffet was really nice and I think a very reasonable price point. I would definitely stay here again.

Way too expensive for what you get.

As someone who grew up in this area the homelessness and weed was a bit disappointing.

Why 4/5? Room cleanliness was not up to scratch - in particular, lots of rubbish left under the sofa bed which became visible once opening it out. Such an obvious place for dirt to congregate, so always surprises me that they don't pay enough attention here. Finally, I advise you check the bill on departure - we were charged twice for breakfast - again, a simple thing for them to check themselves. Enjoy Portland!

The staff at this hotel were super friendly and incredible! The room was more spacious and perfect for our girls’ trip!

The rooms do not have carpet so they are quite loud at night. I could hear someone snoring in an adjoining room. The room was also quite dark with only accent lights that didn't really cut it for lighting up the space; however, the bathroom was very well lit. The iron was broken. The bed and pillows are very soft. Valet experience was seamless. Check-in at the front desk was a breeze. Online checkout was no hassle. Location was pretty solid for what I needed with lots to do right on Fore Street and the nearby streets. Definitely bring white noise or earplugs.

Everything was clean and the staff we encountered were quite nice. The breakfast looked bad; we didn’t eat it.
