The only thing I’m dinging this place for is the bathroom door it’s like a 100 pound slider. God forbid there was a fire. I would’ve been trapped in there. And the water pressure was horrible like it wasn’t even worth taking a shower cause you couldn’t even rinse the soap out of your hair. Continental breakfast was average with everybody else that offers that. The weight of the bathroom door and the water pressure are a no return stay from me. Staff was friendly.

Bathroom shower and toilet looked dirty due to “pealing” paint. Rooms smelled like mold however the lobby was nice.

Pillows were large and heavy, and breakfast was good but simple. Only one toaster with a crowd.

    Easy nice stay

BEST location to get around to everything on foot. Very impressive staff…no matter which shift, all were friendly, personable, kind, and gracious.

Great hotel and location to the art museum, theatre, and riverfront area. The free pinball machines onsite was a wonderful update for our family, along with the other games, include lifesize Connect4. We also loved the burger place that replaced the former restaurant within the hotel. Provides a different option than the local, more formal restaurants in the area.

Older hotel. Needs deep cleaning. Carpets and chairs heavily stained in room. Amenities fees are crazy for what they offer. Good location and ac works well.

When I was there, parking was full, they never got the message, they never called me back. Took forever with an unhelpful person to check in. Would not refund me for the parking and charged for a candy bar I didn't pick up. They said I could park on the street and I got a ticket.

the hotel could use a bit of maintenance the carpets in my room were ripped, the bathroom ceiling's pain was bubbling and chipping away and the shower head could be replaced. Great value for the price however really needs some maintenance done!

We rented bikes and scooters to visit the Japanese Gardens and Rose Gardens, our kids loved it! There are so many games and activities to keep the whole family busy on the property and we loved the happy hour food and drinks. Staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy Portland.

I loved everything about the hotel Zags. It’s close to everything. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The bar had great food and great service. It was actually a fun stay with s’mores over the fire pit, free arcade games, and entertainment on the patio. It was clean and trendy. You can even check out items like Roku sticks, bikes, and Polaroid cameras. I highly recommend this hotel on your next Portland stay!

Great staff friendly helpful. Their outdoor courtyard is amazing, samores nights, firepits, games, they had a story teller wandering around, sat with us and told a great story. The Bar staff out there was fast, remembered you the next night very attentive in a good way.

The game room is cool and we really enjoyed the free play arcade and pinball after returning from our little bar hop. I was able to purchase food and drinks at the front desk around 12:30am and the night time staff member was very nice. We scored a nice parking spot outside the hotel but there is underground parking available as well. No one messed with our car overnight and we didn't see any suspicious activity. I also noticed that they have a nice rental selection by the entrance. I didn't have time to ask about it but I assume that guests can rent bikes, cameras, Nintendos and more. I would recommend this hotel to anyone but we as a couple we really enjoyed staying here due to the proximity to local night life. And it's close to the riverfront!

This is our second stay here. The bed is extremely comfortable and super cosy. Close to PSU and walkable to Pioneer Square.

Helpful, kind staff. Very good for dog owners traveling w their pets. Poor breakfast, no juice, apples were the only fruit option. Did have hard boiled eggs.

    Good location. Nice modern property

Staff was extremely professional, polite, and attentive. They even printed out my PSU graduation ticket while taking care of several people. I stay in hotels frequently. This is the best stay I have experienced in months.

HVAC could not be adjusted, staff gave complex description of system which boiled down to you cannot change! Room was cold and never warmed up.
