Hotel Ambasciatori

Ideal location. Clean. Friendly and attentive staff. Spa/massage service was very good. Coffee was less than great and not available for a late morning start.

Pillows had a bad smell. Tiny room for 3 people, no blankets, one bed was a cart. No TV! No transfers to and from ferry. Breakfast closed too early. They had a private beach for hotel guests but had to pay 5 Euro for a chair each day. Very expensive for what you get!

The staff were very helpful in all aspects. The location was near the beach and very short walk to Port, the Castle and plenty of restaurants and shopping. Breakfast was very good- even offering eggs cooked to order. WI-FI was terrible. Had to go to the lobby to use WIFI. Hotel claims to have a Sauna. Most of it was not accessible and cost extra to use. I would have to give several hours notice for them to turn it on and then it cost 10E/person to use. Dogs and kids everywhere. Had dogs sitting at tables during breakfast and at the pool. Pool was WAY too crowded with lounges packed tightly together.

I cannot say enough about the hotel staff. So accommodating to every need we had. Phillipo was truly one of a kind and we loved his service and help in moving around Ischia Nothing.

Great location, it was just a few steps from the sea. Friendly hotel staff, especially Filippo. He worked above and beyond to help us with restaurant reservations, boat tickets, etc. Breakfast could be better with more variety.

I stayed at Hotel Ambasciatori in Ischia for one week and had a truly wonderful experience. My room had a balcony with a beautiful beach view, and the entire property was clean, peaceful, and well-maintained. Daily housekeeping ensured everything remained spotless throughout my stay. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, making me feel genuinely welcome. I would especially like to highlight Filippo at the front desk, who went above and beyond to assist with directions, recommend excellent local restaurants, and explain how to navigate the island by bus. He took time to walk me through a map and made sure I felt confident getting around. His warm smile, professionalism, and local knowledge made a huge difference—he is truly an asset to the hotel. I highly recommend Hotel Ambasciatori to anyone visiting Ischia and would gladly return. I like everything about this hotel. No complaints.

It is right on the beach with great restaurants for lunch. It is dated but very clean. You could walk easily to so many restaurants and shopping. It felt very authentic Italian with few foreigners. The pool was nice and heated. There were lots of sitting areas inside and out with beautiful flowers. Breakfast needed improvement with the addition of fresh fruit. It was adequate but could easily be improved. If you ask, they will make eggs to order.

Wonderful quiet location water front. Easy walk to all the shops. Beautiful views. Delicious food breakfast and dinner. Philippe and Mario could not do enough to make our stay an amazing experience. I highly recommend a visit to the beautiful Island of Ischia and that you stay at Hotel Ambasciatori. No complaints or suggestions.

Bed was not comfortable.

We went here as part of our honeymoon. We stayed in room 214 with a lovely view of the sea and a big balcony. When we checked in they surprised us with a glass of prosecco and snacks. The staff was very friendly and Filippo was very helpful to us, gave us great recommendations and went out of his way to make sure we had a good time. The breakfast was good with plenty of options even for us who do not enjoy the sweet pastries that most Italian places serve. Location was great for exploring Ischia Porto! We loved our stay here and will be returning!

We had a fabulous few days in Hotel Ambasciatorri. In particular, all of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We noticed how much they respect each other and the excellent working relationship - particularly in the restaurant between the supervisor and main staff. Reception could not have been more helpful. There was a lovely selection for breakfast, and we were offered eggs and bacon off menu, without requesting it, which was very kind. The pool area is very comfortable and the hotel is right on the beach. Just a few minutes walk and you are right in the middle of everything, yet the hotel was peaceful during the day and in the evenings. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Beautiful traditional hotel, great location very close to the beach. The staff were lovely!

Exceptional

Good location The hotel is old, it needs a deep renovation. The spa was broken and we could not use it, despite having paid for it. Poor breakfast with dry croissant and low quality cakes, ham and cheese. The room was smelling of chemical cleaning products and we asked to change it. The hotel stayed in the 1980s. Not recommended at all.

We had a room with a sea view + a balcony. The beach was just below and we could go there any time. The swimming pool was also nice, but the weather wasn't that warm that we would have liked to sit by the pool, we just swam. The bathroom was nice, a lot of warm water. Beds were good, pillows a bit hard for us. The cleaning ladies came every morning to make to beds and clean the room +++ The breakfast was good, one could get for scrambled eggs&bacon if needed. I even got a hot tea pot to our table when I asked. The personal was very frendly and helpful and thoughtful as well. The receptionist, Philippo, was great! There were quite much mosquitos and we couldn't keep the balcony door open in the evenings.
