Jardim da Batalha by Shiadu

We loved this hotel. It was set in an old building and was very deceptive from a little entrance door leading to a lovely reception. All staff we met were so friendy and very welcoming, particularly Alma and Anna on Reception, and the lovely lady who greeted us at breakfast. The breakfast was just exceptional and so different. The company make a lot of their own teas and products and it was just all so fresh. The communication from our booking onwards was very good and the hotel answered my queries quickly before we arrived anr upgraded our room. Going to look at other hotels in this chain, as we liked the ethos of the place. The price we paid was so reasonable too in a big City. The staff were all great. Thank you to all. More time to enjoy the hotel. We only had one night due to onward travel, but will book again when in Porto again.

The staff were very friendly and supportive. I didn’t like the bathroom setup. Not much comfortable for a shower and lack of privacy.

We had a perfect stay at the Jardim da Batalha Boutique Hotel. It's cozy, clean, tranquil, all staff is very welcoming and helpful, hotel location is perfect, close to everything.

Loved everything about his place. The staff were exceptional, they recommended places to explore and where to go eat. The breakfast is delicious, a great way to start the day. This was a great way to end my camino, this hotel was a great place to relax and recuperate. I am used to hotels having the sink in the room instead of the bathroom, was not an issue for me.

Location was good. Staff exceptionally helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great - lots of choices and all freshly prepared.

One of the best breakfast, they make a lot of it themselves and from their farm. Don't forget to buy their olive oil and honey as well as tea and soaps We liked everything

The bathroom design was not appropriate, after a shower everything is wet. Also the bathroom door cannot be closed and are semi-transparent, sooo not romantic ?

Our room was in the main building, old stone walls, lovely garden view I liked everything about it

Rooms too small. Corridor outside the rooms is partly outside and always wet.

Great walkable location in Porto. The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful, too! The included breakfast was a nice bonus. The way the bathroom was incorporated into the room made it a bit tricky with two people in the room.

Location was great, rooms were super clean, staff was kind and hospitable. Everything was superb! Strongly recommend!

Amazing location, helpful staff, amazing breakfast and the rooms were very comfortable. I spent only a night and will definitely go back if I travel to Porto again.

Wonderful hotel! Great location. Comfortable rooms. Good breakfast. Perhaps you can paint the frosted glass bathroom doors. I personally found it unpleasant to have my partner in the room seeing me use the toilet.

The breakfast was amazing! What a treat to be able to fuel up on delicious food before starting our day. I wish we could have stayed more days. The transparent door between the bed and the bathroom. We could see each other on the toilet, lol.

The location is perfect for visiting all around Porto, as it's not far from the beautiful Sao Bento station and a nice walk down to the river Douro. The staff were so friendly and offered advice for seeing Porto, and specific restaurants nearby. The breakfast was incredible, and the best part of the stay - they had many delicious options to cater for all dietary requirements and tastes. Amazing, I would like to stay for longer than one night next time! Nothing!

Fantastic hotel. Very clean and nice rooms. Our terrace overlooks the garden. Great location. Walking distance to various tourist landmarks. The rooms are very well maintained. Terrific breakfast. Large variety of free pastries, coffee and tea throughout the day. Extremely friendly staff. My wife and I chatted with Gabriel, the manager, for quite a while. The staff is doing a wonderful job. Highly recommend. Nothing. Everything was superb!

I have never come across such a professional team of ladies as hotel staff,with such of teamwork providing a great service, always with a smile on the face!!!
