The staff was great, & the breakfast was spectacular. The carpet in our room was quite dirty.
-
My room was on 0-level, like half-basement. It’s not very comfortable, but ok for a short stay. Breakfast was very basic. The price does not justify the quality of the stay.
-
For an expensive price, we got the semi basement room, which was right next to the hotel entrance. In the morning and late at night you could hear loud noises because of people coming in and out.
-
Staff very friendly and we were able to store our luggage. The room was filthy. Carpets stained and dirty. Mold in the bathroom. Spatters all over the bathroom. Door not secure. Sheets not clean.

Nothing

Hotel was nice. The man that checked us in was trying to give us a lecture and spoke to us very mean because we forgot to check in my friend electronically prior to checking in in person.
-
Breakfast was excellent the pastries were great The carpet in our room should be replaced and the room could use some paint.
-
Charming all around experience and setting. What’s not to like? Everything was very well managed, staffed, and maintained.

Great location across from the newly renovated park. You can easily walk all over the city. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have very reasonable parking on site which is a big help if you bring your car to the city. We had our dog with us and there weren’t any problems. It’s a renovated gem of a building. Very nicely redone. We had a beautiful terrace looking out over the city towards the river. The room and the bathroom were spacious. We will stay again. The breakfast was disappointing. With all the great cafes within walking distance it’s better to go out.

Its nice to have a hotel parking though it's 13 euros/night. The room was spacious, bathroom & bed good. Plenty of hangers, nice view, breakfast, everything sufficient. It's about a 23 minute walk to the downtown or 5 minutes to the Trindade Metro. 2 more stops gets you to the Sao Bento downtown Metro. It would be nice to have 2 comfortable chairs in room 32.

location the front staff was very grumpy and very angry
-
The carpet in the room was stained and smelled weird.
-
There was a lot of lost in translation with the communication before arrival. The room was worn around the edges, but clean.
-
Staff is very nice and the breakfast has bene excellent.

Be aware of “price switching” and “room switching.” We received an “urgent” email during our two day stay saying we needed to immediately remove our bags from our current room on the fourth floor to a room in the basement, with no notice either at the time of booking, when we arrived in the evening, or in the morning before heading out for the day.
-
Cozy and clean very loud noise of footsteps on the ground floor making it difficult to sleep
-
Gorgeous interiors

Good staff & location

The place was in a decent spot on the outskirts of a cool area. Unfortunately the hotel was filthy and looked nothing like the clean photos online. The bedroom had the most disgusting brown carpet and the walls doors and furniture looked like they have never been cleaned. There was mold all over the walls in the bathroom with no ventilation. I regretted my booking the moment I stepped foot in the door. Don’t make the same mistake that I did.
