Reviews
-
Great location and beautiful hotel.
-
The only thing I didn’t like was the exposed glass shower in the middle of the bedroom.

Our stay at the Wine & Books Porto Hotel exceeded all expectations. The customer service was easily on par with far more expensive luxury hotels we’ve stayed at. Our room was clean, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. As for the included breakfast, it was simply amazing—featuring made-to-order dishes, fresh fruit, overnight oats, and pastries galore. The location was also perfect for walking to many popular attractions. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again, and we would highly recommend it to friends and family! There was nothing to complain about--absolutely fantastic!

The staff was so helpful and friendly. Honestly they were just amazing!. They provided a map and showed us sites to see, they arranged our taxis and they always welcomed us when we came back with a smile and warm hello each day. We enjoyed the pool and Turkish bath on a chilly evening. Nothing!
-
The white carpeting in the bedroom was comfy but a little odd for a hotel. Looked very clean though.
-
The staff member make extra effort to make you feel very welcome.
-
The design and decor Friendly and cooperative staff Nothing

The location was perfect, rooms good size and very nice. The welcome glass of port, lobby bar and restaurant all wonderful! In addition, the staff was exceptional. Incredibly friendly, helpful and they made me want to go back for another visit. Nothing that I didn’t like. One suggestion is that I wish the bar stayed open a bit later.
-
Great location to walk to city highlights, bars, restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff upon arrival and throughout the visit. Great rooftop bar that also serves snacks. Excellent offerings at breakfast which we enjoyed each day of our visit. The room was higher tech than we saw anywhere else we stayed in Spain or Portugal.
-
The staff was wonderful with very good restaurant recommendations. They helped us celebrate our wedding anniversary and surprised us with complimentary champagne and dessert!
-
The staff was very helpful and accommodating The room and the hotel facilities were very far from 5 star. The room was tiny with zero privacy bathroom facilities and overlooking the wall of the building next to us.
-
The hotel had a comfortable bed, excellent breakfast and staff friendly. The room had zero storage so we had to live out of our suitcases on the floor, the lobby bar was never open the entire 5 days and the staff while friendly did not operate/dress as a 5 star hotel.
-
I felt the price we paid for the room that breakfast should have been included.
-
Beautiful hotel, very updated with lovely indoor pool and spa. Room was beautiful but there is zero privacy in the bathroom area.
-
The property is beautiful, colorful and elegant yet comfortable! The rooftop bar was wonderful for drinks and sunset viewing! Also beautiful pool, indoor with little lounge cabanas. We loved everything about our stay except leaving!
-
The staff is amazing specially Maria at the front desk, she helped organize a trip to Duoro and dinner recommendation. The location is geat as well, comfortable bed. Very nice rooms
-
Balcony Location -Small room -Room under roof-top restaurant smelt like cooked eggs at time -« Dog-theme » wall-paper and and dog-theme bed and side lamps (I was expecting wine and books) -bad port-wine offered in the room, IN PORTO! -colors of lobby decoration were poor taste.
-
Very comfy and beautiful. Helpful staff who found us restaurant recommendations. Car parking a bit complex but they make it easy. Will be back!
-
The location was perfect for walking distance to everything Porto has to offer. I think the longest walk was only 15 minutes. The staff catered to all our needs and helped where they could. The rooftop bar was immaculate and the food was amazing. Get the truffle Mac and cheese you won’t regret it. 10/10 Me and my wife really did try to think of something but we couldn’t come up with anything wrong with this place. It’s worth the money you pay.

Reception staff is outstanding and hospitality was above reproach. Our room was quiet and comfortable. Restaurant and Rooftop service was excellent. Whenever we come to Portugal Wine and Book is our go to place! N/A
