Clean , and had most of the things needed for a stay there (except sun bed cushions see next part of review), and the area was close to restaurants, a few shops and the beach . Only one sun bed per unit ,none of the sun beds have any cushions so it’s just the hard plastic which is impossible to lay on as they are very uncomfortable. Pools aren’t heated so water is like ice . Reception hardly ever open and closed completely over the weekend so no point of contact for things like advice re taxis etc (Chap that was there a couple of times though was a very nice man)

We had a truly wonderful stay! The location was absolutely fantastic, just steps away from the beach and within easy walking distance to a shopping complex with a variety of restaurants, grocery stores, and even more shops along Playa Matagorda beach. Transportation was a breeze with convenient bus stops nearby, including easy routes to the airport, Arrecife, and Puerto del Carmen, as well as pick-ups for tours and day trips. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and well-organized, and the pool area was always inviting, with plenty of loungers and space for everyone to relax. We loved the private veranda attached to our bungalow, which offered a peaceful spot to enjoy the stunning views of the beach. The bungalow itself was cozy yet spacious for two people, with thoughtful features like the shutters and fan, which helped keep the space comfortable and secure while allowing for good airflow. We also appreciated the well-equipped kitchen with washing-up supplies and the small private courtyard for drying clothes. The complex was secure, gated, and had a quiet, peaceful atmosphere, making it feel like a true retreat. The staff we interacted with were pleasant and approachable, adding to the overall positive experience. Additionally, the surrounding area was clean and well-maintained, reflecting how much the locals and visitors care for the environment. While we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, there are a few aspects that might be helpful for others to consider. The noise from our neighbors was noticeable at times, with conversations continuing into the early hours, such as 4 a.m. on some nights. On another occasion, we could hear conversations at 2 a.m. as if they were happening in our living room. This may have been due to particularly loud neighbors, but could also highlight limited soundproofing between bungalows. We didn’t feel comfortable raising the issue with management, as our friends were staying on the other side, and it would have made things awkward. The close proximity to the airport meant that planes landing could be very loud, often requiring us to pause conversations until they passed. While this didn’t bother us after we adjusted, it’s worth considering if you’re particularly sensitive to noise. Additionally, there was some noise from nearby bars and restaurants, but most places closed reasonably between 10 p.m. and midnight, so it wasn’t disruptive overall. The pool area, while lovely and well-maintained, had a few limitations depending on preferences. In November, the water was quite cold, and the shallowest part of the main pool was 150 cm, which was a bit challenging for me at 5 ft 1 tall to rest comfortably. While there was a smaller shallow pool available, it was too shallow for swimming. Another consideration is the lack of a second set of keys. As a couple, it would have been helpful for us to split up more easily—for example, if one person wanted to use the pool and the other needed to leave the complex. Since the veranda and door faced away from the pool, we wanted to ensure everything was locked, which made sharing one key a little inconvenient at times. These were small things for us and didn’t significantly impact our stay, but they are worth noting for others planning a visit. Despite comments on 'noise' it is generally a very calm and peaceful complex.

Excellent location very safe clean and lovely staff the apartment was spotless when we arrived apart from the floors they were not clean fabulous other than that would love to stay there again lovely pool area and plenty of sunbeds

The location is fantastic. Very quiet complex but close to shops, restaurants and pubs. entry to the complex was straight forward and had no issues getting in and finding my apartment. I didn’t like the beds. They were too solid for my liking.

Well positioned apartment, lovely pool, lots of sun beds so no scrum to find one. Near to shops, bars and restaurants. Have visited this location many times over 35 years, but our first time at Salmarina and we will definitely be back, hopefully very soon Bed could have been a little bit softer, it was quite hard

I like how private the facility is. No having to fight over sunbeds as there is enough for everyone. I can’t wait to visit here again. The cleaners & staff members are friendly and welcoming. N/A
