Holiday Inn Express Rochester - University Area by IHG

Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. The room was not good. The room smelled and the solution from staff was to cover the smell with a spray that worked for a while but wore off. The room was very small for a king and awkward layout. There were 2 chairs. One was in a corner that you couldn’t sit in and couldn’t move. The other was a comfy desk chair but blocked the person sleeping on the right side of the bed from getting out of bed to the bathroom. We also only had one towel in the bathroom. There were no instructions for calling the front desk so we went down to get our own towels. The hotel was sold out so we couldn’t change rooms. Thanks for “listening”. Cathy

No complaints on the room, staff, or cleanliness- breakfast wasn’t great my sausage was dry and literally snapped like a pretzel. O.J. was tolerable.

Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was mediocre - not a lot of options for a couple of our traveling party who had allergies. Drain in the shower smelled like a sewer. No discount offered. At over $300 a night, definitely more value expected.

Breakfast was decent, pool was large and pleasant warm temp, gym equipment was good enough but stationary bike was wobbly and the AI instructions were annoying.

Very clean, smelled clean, friendly and helpful staff, great pillows One of the elevators was out of order, more annoying than a major problem, and the window blinds did not shut out the light completely. One of the bedside outlets also did not work. Would have really liked an in room coffee maker.

The room was nice and clean. The front desk staff was not the friendliest that I’ve ever met. I didn’t feel unwelcome, but not really greeted with warmness. The breakfast was delicious and hot and had a nice variety. There was plenty of parking available and the hotel was conveniently located to anywhere that I needed to go.

The room was sparkly clean. Stuff was very friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel

Buen lugar para hospedarse. De fácil acceso, muy limpio y camas cómodas. El personal fue muy amable, me permitieron late check out. Excelente desayuno. Definitivamente volvería a este lugar. Recomiendo visitar el Lamberton Conservatory.

Felt new. Quiet. Comfortable room. Good breakfast. Close enough to the airport. I would stay again.

The first night there there were kids, no adults present running up and down the hall yelling, throwing balls, slamming doors till about 130 in the morning. Needless to say I got no sleep. Complained to front desk, others Complained too. Was told I would be compted for that night.
