Hotel Genio

Location was great and the gentleman at the front desk was extremely pleasant and tried to help us with all the problems we had during our stay. We were traveling with our adult children and some of our teenage grandchildren. We were scheduled to be picked up at cruise ship at 8:15, which was scheduled by the hotel staff. Due to a typographical error by the hotel, only one van arrived. We were left stranded in the cruise parking lot in 100 degree heat for more than an hour. When we arrived, there was another mixup with the rooms, which we did not realize until later. (We had 7 rooms prepaid). Only two rooms were ready so we left our luggage in those rooms and left for the afternoon after we received room assignments. When we returned, some of us got showers and then we got a call from the front desk there was a mixup and three of the rooms needed to be changed, despite the fact that we had already unpacked. One of us got changed to a room where the air conditioner wasn't working. One got changed to a room where there were several reddish brown bugs in the sheets, so that room had to be changed again OR they offered to move our teenage granddaughter to another hotel in Rome, which of course was not acceptable because we did not want her to be separated from us. Three of the rooms had hotel staff walk in on them while they were still in the room and without knocking. One grandson was asleep in his room when someone walked in. One granddaughter was in the shower (she is 22, had a single room and was alone) and she heard the door and noise and she got very frightened. Despite shouting out "hello, whose there??, no one answered and then she heard the door slam shut. The doors to the rooms do not use a key card but a regular large key so anyone with a duplicate key could enter the room. She did not know who it was because her room had been cleaned and she had the "do not disturb" sign on her door. The front desk checked and said it was not a member of the staff.

Location is good, some staff members are really nice, some of them are not, specially those in the late night So old, a lot of basic things are missing like slippers, tooth brush, iron table,etc…

Nothing actually Shower hose is torn Shower cabin doors were not closing properly The water temperature is fluctuating and not stable The door keys are old style and you have to carry the physical keys with yourself. The noise is obvious The room telephone wasn’t working Do not disturb tag is not available

Location was great for walking to many of the must do places in Rome.

I didn't realize all the drinks in the minibar weren't free and ended up paying a lot but that's my own silliness. I'm sure the staff mentioned that on checkin, I was just too tired to remember.

Location was amazing. The rooftop area was outstanding. There’s a taxi stop right next to it which is perfect for traveling far. It’s a bit dated and the price is probably $100-$150 to high a night.

Excellent location, very clean rooms, efficient and helpful staff!!

The rooms are not really clean, the shower when you take a shower the water stack and you have to turn off until the water drain, to continue your shower . I didn't like to have the dirty water was discusting.

Location, Room was very big and nice, a lot of Pillows and bide, good breakfast. No gym

Very spacious room. Staff were friendly. Breakfast included was a bit simple with basic cold cuts and cake each day. Shower pressure was a bit low and the bed was a bit hard but nothing too bad.

Locations is great Breakfast OK Rooms are old. Bathroom shower not adequate. Even when shutting shower door the water went all over the floor
