ASTORIA GOLDEN GATE

Location. It was close to the Termini train station which made it easy for us to travel to the airport the next day. Good restaurants nearby. The gentleman at the reception of the hotel was friendly and showed us to our room and explained details. He was helpful suggesting nearby restaurants and coffee shops. The room was quiet and comfortable, but rather small. It was oddly set up with the walk-in shower on the left side of the hallway and toilet and sink on the right side of the hallway with sliding door. There was a small refrigerator with 2 bottles of water. No coffee maker, tea or kettle.

Convenient location, just a few minutes walk from Rome Termini Room is just about the right size, spacious and the bed is comfy and big. I wish they had a proper fridge rather than just a wine fridge.

The staff were excellent. They went well beyond expectations.

For 180 euro without breakfast, at least place a good quality Frigidaire, the water were not even cold, for 3 days

The room door has a 1/2" gap at the bottom. As a result all noise in the hallway & hotel entrance is easily heard. This is not appreciated when other animated hotel patrons come back to their room late at night when everyone else is sleeping.

Rudolfo at the front desk was amazing - his friendliness and smile brightened our day immediately after a long journey from the US. The location of the hotel is perfect, less than 10 minutes on foot from the Roma Termini station (metro and trains) but sits on a quiet street. There are many restaurants within walking distance. There is also a supermarket two blocks away. The rooms (we stayed at two different rooms on two separate bookings) are not big but are very clean and refreshing. Everything was working properly. This hotel offers great value for the price. There is nothing to dislike about this hotel.

The hotel was very close to termini Rome. About a 5 minute walk. The hotel entrance is located behind a courtyard gate which made us feel very safe. Although a basic hotel with no services, it was spotless and the bathroom was very clean. We were quite happy with everything. Lots of restaurants right outside the hotel.

Room was quiet, clean, and the hotel was very well-located. Arriving a little bit later at night can be a bit complex without late night reception, but the staff made it work.

It was very new and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. You can leave the luggage in the hotel after checking out. It would be better if the check out time was a bit longer.

Location worked well for us, less than 15 mins from Roma Termini. Neighborhood was quiet, not touristy. Early check in was possible, reception friendly & helpful. Room was modern, clean, comfortable bed. Would stay again!

Poor noise isolation, unpleasant smell in the toilet. Extra pillows not clean.

Located only 2 blocks from Termini, this hotel was an ideal location for us, since we stayed only one night in Rome and had to leave on an early train to the airport. The room was very quiet, secure, medium size. It was super clean. White fluffy towels, shampoo/soap. The room had electrical kettle and tea/sugar, though I was surprise that no coffee was available. The check in was super smooth - our room was ready at 10:30, our arrival coordinated via WhatsUp. The room is newly decorated and looks very nice and clean. English speaking staff.

Loved the fresh towels every day, the room was well cleaned, staff was nice, location was superb. The toilet seat was very high…

The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was nice to enjoy coffee in the morning outside, the grounds were beautiful. It was very close to the train and beach area. It also was beautiful scenic walk to the little town. I can’t wait to come back to Monterosso!! I would have liked to have the restaurant open a little later than it was and maybe some meals that were lighter.
