The Memphis Hotel is in a restored 14th-century building on a quiet side street in central Rome. It is less than half a mile from Rome’s main shopping street, Via Del Corso, and a 5 minute walk from Barberini Metro Station. Soundproofed and air conditioned, rooms come with design furniture and hardwood floors. Guests also have an LCD TV. A varied buffet breakfast is served each morning and includes fresh fruit, cheese, cold cuts and sausages. A selection of baby food is also available. Location is fantastic. Close to all major sights. Walked everywhere. The 4* rating is surprising. The single rooms are depressingly small and the shower is so small you can barely move to wash your legs ! Very dated decor, smells of bleach when you walk in, wouldn’t stay again even though the location is excellent. Facilities pretty poor.

I liked how accessible the shops and attractions were from our location. I can’t think of anything I didn’t like about this hotel. We had a wonderful time!

We had a fantastic time in Rome. Hotel Memphis is great. Lovely staff, great breakfast. Location is everything. Our stay was wonderful.

The property was in a great location. My first night I was given an inside room, no windows. The second day I was moved to a room with a window facing the front of the hotel. The hotel is located on a narrow street with very little natural light reaching the first floor. While this may not bother most, the lack of natural light made the room feel claustrophobic.

Location was good. Right near Trevi Fountain. Lovely restaurant s nearby to suit everyone. At breakfast the water needs to be hotter for tea as we Irish like hot tea .

Staff and location was the big selling point Absolutely no soundproof between rooms, I could hear other conversations and bodily movements, not ideal!! The Aircon wouldn't go below 26°, the room was uncomfortably hot A good 3* not a 4*
