NOTHING except location Room was terrible, very hot as the A/C wasn't working properly, the bathroom sink wouldn't drain, the shower was almost impossible to get into due to the placement of the soap dish. Step stool up to the washroom, very dangerous, I expressed my concerns the next morning and the front desk just said " you should have told us last night " I got back to the hotel at 1130pm, no one was even at the desk at that time. I had booked a second night and they informed that it was in a different building, different location. NOT HAPPY at all. Never again

Proximity to train station, metro, eateries and convenience store. Top sights were walking distance from hotel If we are splitting hairs, just that the shower drained a little slowly but not a deal breaker
-
room was very clean and comfortable lift was a bit slow
-
Constant power outages in the room, only only offering company water for the first day
-
We had an issue after hours where the circuit breaker tripped and we lost all power in the room and the breaker needed to be reset. They responded in reasonable time even though they came from another hotel. The hotel did not have support on location after 11 PM, we were not aware of this at the time of booking. This should be more prominently spelled out for people considering the property.

Absolutely nothing Apparently I was told that the pictures do not indicate the room that you will get. It’s a bait and switch. They put us in an old apartment building with bags of dirty laundry in the hallway, big giant bugs in the rooms, the room smells so bad that it makes you gag. The conditions were absolutely horrible.

location was good shower was plugged and did not drain. we asked the front desk to fix every day
-
Walking distance to many restaurants and Roma Termini
-
It was clean, cool and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. There were elevators. It was a bit further from the train station than we anticipated, but easily accessible to lots of sites in Rome.
-
Centrally located, easy to walk too the train station and sites
-
Comfortable room and bed. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Close proximity to train and bus stations. Walking distance to some tourist destinations. N/A

Staff was very warm, helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean. Location was perfect. Breakfast was good. Guests were loud at times, but not hotels fault. Perhaps posting reminders to be courteous with a picture to be quiet might be helpful.

Excellent
-
Breakfast room was hidden away and hot food was constantly out. They were short staffed when we were there so that was the reason. Elevators were slow.
-
Comfortable bed Dated. Elevator skips 3rd floor and too small. Service is slow. Only one staff to check in.
-
The bed was comfortable. Dated furniture and bathroom. Elevator is small and 3rd floor doesn’t always work. Sometimes the elevator skips 3rd floor.

Location

The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. The air conditioning worked! Not the value for what I paid. The room was extremely small. The decor was very dated. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was very limited with no fresh fruit and the cornetti were burnt.
-
Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good and staff were friendly. Convenient location Wifi didn’t work overly great. Very spotty.

Arrived early expecting to just leave our bags in, but the lovely gentleman at reception said the room was ready, and could go straight up! The hotel is quirky, and has an old lift. Rooms may be slightly smaller. Our main priority in any Hotel is cleanliness and quality of sleep. The Sonya is absolutely spotless - (yes there was a few marks on the wallpaper), and the beds are so comfortable, the bathroom is like new, and the shower is lovely. TIP: If your hairdryer doesn't work, turn off the TV and take out any chargers - it will then work on the lower setting, this only happened to us once! It is in a perfect location across from the Opera House - within walking distance of most of Romes attractions (we got a Metro to the Vatican) and good value for money. Breakfast was in the Hotel itself - looks like a new dining room, small but perfectly formed! Basic choice but the food was tasty, and plentiful -and just ask if you can't find something. We were on the 1st floor, and were expecting more street noise, it was actually very quiet. You are going to get queues at Reception at peak times in any hotel, but we found the staff friendly and helpful. Would stay again! Sarah Newer hair dryer? only fault we had. Possibly a slightly bigger choice at breakfast?
