Heritage Inn Express Roseville

The hotel was very calm and quiet. Bed sare super comfy. I would stay there again.

Hotel looked ghetto from the outside. Old, beat up doors, cigarette butts everywhere. Room was okay. Not terrible but definitely not great. Bed was fair. Bathroom was old with dated tile and a weird recessed bathtub shower. No drain covers on tub or sink. AC unit was loud. Thankfully the room did not have a smoke smell. Deadbolt was broken. For what we paid, I would not stay here again.

Wasn't as good as before. But way better options for tv.

Ice machine in a central location would be nice but I understand why it wasn’t. It was inconvenient.

While I was still checking in, police were exiting the parking lot. That was the first red flag. Security never looked up from the video he was watching on his phone to acknowledge me or the police presence. As he was in an unmarked vehicle in the parking lot, I had to ask the front desk if they were aware of a strange man hanging out in their parking lot, and they informed me that was "security". I have paid an incidental deposit at other lodgings, but it was presented as a security deposit at this property, which made me think they were long-term housing for some people priced out of the rental market or unable to rent because of bad credit/ history. I paid for the room online, so they wanted me to swipe my card for the "security deposit" but it was a blank screen except for the cost. Not having a clear explanation directly next to a charge is a huge red flag. When I asked, she said it was detailed in the print out she would give me, but that was misleading. In tiny print it is detailed that if you smoke in the room, destroy something, etc you would be charged, but it failed to give any detail about the refund process. I should've left, but I had already traveled eleven hours, it was late and I had an early meeting. Before even entering the room, I heard/ felt the loud base from another guest's room. Immediately upon entering the room, I was hit with the strong odor of what smelled like someone had chain-smoked for a month inside, never opening a window. I told the front

Information about check-in cut off time on hotels.com was wrong. Fridge, lamp and TV not working, couldn't control the AC unit with smashed buttons, it's either plugged or un plug. wasn't worth changing rooms for one night, had too much cargo.

Clean sheets, pillows, towels..New looking interior. Uncomfortable beds. Did not feel safe going out of our room.
