The property was nice the gated parking was fantastic. The staff member on shift was super friendly and helpful. I noticed that the doors didn’t lock, they had key card access but the lock didn’t engage. I asked front desk about it and they said that the doors don’t lock until 11pm when the staff leave. Since this was the last stop on my trip I just decided to cut my trip short and went home. I didn’t want to stay and wait to see if the lock worked at 11pm I also wasn’t comfortable leaving my stuff in an unlocked room to go get dinner after checking in like I planned. As a solo female traveler I don’t think I will stay at this hostel again unless the locking system changes. The bedding was also dirty not outrageous dirty but there was hair all over the bed. I didn’t really see much of the common areas since I left but they seemed fine.

The property photos are misleading. The room is actually in A BASEMENT and is dark even in the middle of a bright, sunny day.

The history behind the home, the welcoming staff, the details in the architecture, and the huge kitchen! The mattress wasn’t the most comfortable after a couple of nights and the WiFi cutout in the corner where my bed was in the room.

Beautiful property with spacious kitchen and dorm room. The bathrooms were clean. The staff was great! This was a perfect location-close to the Amtrak station and Capitol.

Centrally located. Staff is friendly and very helpful. My mattress was sagging a bit, but I still slept pretty good.

Passable

Amazing space worth walking around inside just to check out the art deco, the amenities like the game room & common lounges, plus the architecture inside is really beautiful! Shared bathrooms were really clean and well stocked at least the one on our floor and in the common spaces downstairs. The private bedroom my friends and I booked was spacious and the beds and A/C made it a really comfortable stay. Most comfy stay at a hostel I've had in a while!

Really nice private room with ornate decor and spacious bathroom. The entire building is a historic Victorian with nice decorations/style. The common areas are great for cooking, dining, and lounging. Also great walkable location in downtown!
