The property is lovely and tucked into a perfect corner of town. It is easy to walk to any location in town. Our room had a beautiful view of the Tour du Roi. The staff is clearly hired for being friendly and their attention to detail. They are all helpful and kind and made us feel welcome. Breakfast is lovely with plenty of fresh options. If we return to Saint Emilion we will stay here again.

Close to everything in st emilion Treacherous 45+ degree cobblestone slope to entrance. Saw people slip and fall. Hotel price fixe dinners very expensive few alternatives open in town. Metered parking was at some distance from hotel. Long wait for spots to open.

No elevator , huge stairs Rude staff and slow

We loved our stay. It was in a great location, and we had a lovely suite on the first floor. The breakfast was tasty, and I had wonderfully prepared eggs. We didn't want to leave. The hotel and town were so charming.

Deserves a much higher rating than the 8.9 I am seeing. Lovely rooms, big with nice sized bathroom. Living room area in reception area to lounge with friends. Breakfast was delicious. I would recommend to obtain parking thru the hotel if you have a car.

Beautiful area Parking and walking bags was a bit much

Right in the centre of town and a charming building. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. The dinner was out of this world and the staff were all amazingly friendly and helpful. Some of the other guests were terrible. But we cannot blame the hotel for that!! And they coped with them magnificently. Breakfast was a little underwhelming compared to dinner.

We felt really welcome from start to end of our stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. If you're travelling by car remeber to talk to the staff in advance of arriving, as they have a own parking lot a short distance from the hotel. The hotel is perfectly situated and the rooms are simply perfect. Unfortunately we didn't have a chance to enjoy dinner at the restaurant but breakfast was really good. A great experience all in all!!

The bathroom in our suite was almost as large and the bedroom section of the room. Very nice, with a large shower and double vanity. The furnishings, chairs and sofa are very low to the ground and tired.

I liked the breakfast. The restaurant was good. However, the room was too small. I had claustrophobia when I stayed in the room, I was very very uncomfortable, I was dizzy, nausea felt very sick.

Central St Emilion convenient place to stay

staff first day refused to make eggs. breakfast was week. No air in rooms, no laundry service. Not really a full service hotel

Nice property and comfortable room. No elevator. Great location but difficult to reach by car. Breakfast started at 7:30 but could not order eggs until 8:30.

Beautiful historic, nicely updated and maintained accomodation in the heart of St. Emilion. Our room was spacious and very clean. The staff really went out of their way to assure the perfect visit. Breakfast included a good variety of options and was delicious. We highly recommend! Not a thing.

An exceptional property in Saint Emilion. The moment we checked into our spacious, air conditioned room (I think #1782), we could relax and wind down. Very comfortable room, bed, bedding. Slept great tho it was 38 degrees (over 100 F) outside. Great shower and double sinks. Wished I’d had time to enjoy the bath. Appreciated water and delicious cookies in the room. Staff very gracious. Breakfast good. Unfortunately their dinner restaurant wasn’t open Sunday, but we had one of our best meals of month long travel (at similar cost) just at the top of the hill at L’envers du Decor. The property would be a solid 10 from our perspective if prior to arrival we’d been provided info about parking and the difficulty of managing luggage on a steep ancient cobblestone “road.” We had traveled several hours, then due to the late check-in time required by the hotel, walked around the city on this the intensely hot day. Arrival was incredibly difficult without clear information, so we definitely think a hotel of this caliber could do better in this regard.

THE SERVICE STAFF WAS ABSOLUTELY EXCEPTIONAL. SO NICE AND VERY HELPFUL, ESPECIALLY WITH OUR LUGGAGE. THE MORNING BREAKFAST WAS EXCELLENT. THE FACILITIES WERE VERY NICE AS WAS OUR ROOM.
