Borabora Hotel

They sold me a room completely different from what I booked. I paid for a Standard Double Room with Two Double Beds, but when I arrived, I was given a tiny room with one bed and no window. The photos on Booking were misleading, which seems to be a regular practice here. They oversell rooms and then pretend it’s normal not to deliver what you paid for. When I complained, they offered to move me to another hotel (Apartahotel Plaza), which was just as bad. There, I also met other guests from another hotel (Hotel Oasis) facing the same issue. In the end, the hotel did not provide a proper room, and I had to find last-minute accommodation on my own. Booking’s customer service was equally disappointing: they simply canceled the reservation without offering any real solution. As if a cancelation would solve the issue of not having a room. Nothing. Worse place ever.

Location is good. Staff were helpful and polite. Mattresses were too soft, so it is difficult to share a bed. Noisy room at night because it was located in front of the entrance street. Dust in the linens generating allergic rhinitis to guest, avoiding to fall asleep.

Location was good, staff was nice, it had AC and coffee and water were offered in the lobby. The room had a mini fridge The room was not too comfortable, the wardrobe was falling.

No hot shower. They informed that hot shower is not common in the island.

Excelente localization bed are so very comfortable. Not noise around good to sleep well. Close to taxi and beach 1 block. Second time here.

everything was good during my 5 days of stay

Location. The room door did not close well, the beds did not have sheets nor blankets It was just a cover, there were cockroaches in the bathroom. The Tv did not worked well you cannot lower the volume also you can hear everything happening in the other rooms. A complete disaster this hotel - no worthy for the money.

The front desk staff, very helpful, foot rinse n lobby. Most importantly I liked the filtered water that was available to top up your water bottles and reduced plastic waste consumption, a kettle and brewed coffee. The location is very central. We walked from the airport, it’s flat and easy walk. Felt safe things were not disturbed in our rooms. No where in San Andrés has hot water, so do not expect it anywhere. The water in our room was at least tepid so I did manage to wash my hair.

Close to the beach and restaurants. This hotel is perfect for a place to sleep with great cable and AC comfortable bathroom. There is room cleaning services and 24 hour doorman. This is great value for the main beautiful tourist beach on the island only 1/2 block away.. Offers rise off sand shower on first floor. (No showers on beach) Street traffic noise if you are in the street facing room. However, after about 10:30pm the noise is a lot less. I slept just fine.

location and staff were great. the fact that the room has no window and I would suggest to add a trash can in the room besides the one in the bathroom and a table or a way to put the suitcase on.
