Hotel Majestic

Be careful when you take a shower. The shower controls in the clawfoot bathtubs where the showers are, can be kind of tricky to work when you are over 6 ft tall. All in all, a great experience.

Amenities and breakfast were basic, but can't beat the value.

Very clean room with period features in a good location. Easy walk to JapanTown, Filmore Street and California Street Cable Car. Breakfast included.

Gorgeous place to stay. We had a Suite. Breakfast was great. Visited the bar. The bartender made my drinks so tasty! Would recommend for anyone to stay there.

Excellent experience and service at this lovely historic hotel! The front desk staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and accommodating. My standard queen room was quiet and comfortable; I loved the pretty bathroom with clawfoot tub! Room had a tiny fridge which is always helpful. Breakfast was served in a gorgeous dining room with hot options and waffles. Coffee, tea, and bottled water are available all day. So glad I chose this hotel and would definitely be back!

The hotel is beautiful, and the staff were great! The check-in process was fast and easy. The only negative part of the hotel is that there is no parking. We parked about half a mile away in a parking structure for 30.00/day. We were there on a night that the bar was closed, which was a bummer; it looks like a great bar.

Classic old boutique hotel. Very reasonably priced for location near J-Town. Good bar, great staff, feels like a time out of time kind of place.

This is exactly what it states in its descriptions, embraces a different time. This was most obvious in general sizing of some room aspects. I was sad that the bar was not open due to staff calling out, but the manager was very apologetic. The drink and small bite menu was something I was looking forward to. Beds seemed like they might be hard, but we slept amazing. Continental breakfast is not extravagant, but the waffle is highly recommended, and they offer Nutella! Cleaning staff were super nice. Small and niche, very appropriate for the price.

Enjoyed it very much, everything was very clean. TVs were a bit dated . Ended up using laptop to watch tv instead.

The only negative for us was the breakfast which was lukewarm at best. If they find an alternative to their current setup and are able to keep the hot items hot our review would be 5 stars.
