Great service. Super clean. You always see people mopping and cleaning. The bartender was very nice and informative. Loved the free cookies. The breakfast in the morning was delicious

PROS: The hotel is very charming and in a great location near MUNI and Japantown. We arrived early and they let us check in right away, so thank you for that! CONS: The hotel is old, so the amenities are not always up to date. For example, we had a suite but no AC but it was ok because we love the cool SF air. The breakfast was so underwhelming and not good. Cleanliness of the room is not for a sharp eyed clean freak (pillows, floors, dust falling off from the four post bed curtains). You can also hear your neighbors. No bath soap in the shower. Awkward bathroom layout. Otherwise it’s a comfortable room.

The bed was too high. A bit uncomfortable. The front desk staff were quite helpful. Breakfast menus could be improved better by providing a more variety of breakfast food. Cleaning ladies were very pleasant. Bathroom floor was quite slippery.

Felt safe for myself and my daughter. Water and hot drinks, cookies etc available in reception area.. Great location for exploring Japan Town. Bathroom needed some tlc, taps loose etc. The breakfast was basic [as we had expected] but it did get a bit repetitive after 3 days.

但是房間很悶，有水管聲音，木頭聲吱吱嘎嘎響，晚上睡覺時也響，睡得不太好。

Went here for a staycation and it was beautiful. The beds were soft, furniture beautiful, and cute pictures to take of the furniture and in the lounge! A very nice and quiet ambiance.

It’s was a very antique looking hotel! Lots of personality! The claw toe tub was beautiful!! Beds were very comfortable!!!

Such a unique experience. Historical charm, combined with modern upkeep and cleanliness. Staff was helpful and accommodating from the front desk, storing our luggage to the breakfast and bar staff and housekeepers. Felt at home and safe and comfortable place to rest while enjoying the city.

Breakfast is the best. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Air conditioning was a huge plus
