Queen Anne Hotel

The staff is nice. One of their chairs in the room has a protruding nail underneath the chair on the left side- could be dangerous. I forgot to mention it to the staff.

Stayed for 6 days and everything was great. Wherever you visit, you can always choose to stay at a modern up to date hotel. But if you want a taste of the past, this place is fabulous. It’s beautifully decorated and a piece of art. Very walkable to Japan town and close to chinatown. Would stay here again. It’s reasonable with low cost parking and free breakfast. And my bed was very comfortable. John at the front desk was the best. Friendly and always so helpful. Looking forward to next visit.

Second time visiting, not only is it reasonably priced for a few days the staff is very sweet and welcoming, parking is right across the street and in its own lot, breakfast lasts a decent amount of time and they offer a good spread, overall it's a super nice stay!

I booked this property because it was pet free and someone in our traveling party has very intense allergies to pets. We were grateful there were no allergic reactions while on the trip. Breakfast was fine, adequate. This property was a lot more run down that I had thought. The mattresses were saggy in the middle and felt more like a hammock. There were bloody boogers wiped on the wall by the bed. There were random stray hairs all over the bathroom floor upon check in. In fact- I felt like the floor was so dirty, I mopped with a hand towel and water before we went to bed the first night. The towel (after mopping f the floor) was brown and full of hairs. I’ll probably search elsewhere next time we are in San Fran.

It's a nice hotel but for the price I would've stayed elsewhere. I partially blame Expedia for over hyping this stay. It listed the breakfast I was one of the best you'll find in the city yet it was a standard breakfast you'd find at sub 200 a night hotel. Also for being a historic hotel, there was an awful lot of AI art. If your going to charge so much for being such a prestigious building, I shouldn't be eating at a table covered with anime girls with deformed hands.

Location was perfect and it was a quick walk to Japantown and Fillmore street. I appreciated having parking available right across from the hotel. Overall a very nice stay and I would absolutely stay here again!

The room was nice and clean, the hotel in general had that "old" smell. Breakfast ok, a standard simple hotel breakfast. Was about a 15 minute Uber ride to Fisherman's Wharf, so not a bad location. Seemed over priced, but maybe all San Francisco hotels are?

The hotel is beautiful and full of Victorian charm. It’s 136 years old, so if you’re looking for ultra-modern luxury, this probably isn’t the place for you. We absolutely loved it, though! We prefer older hotels with character, history, and charm, and the Queen Anne has all of that. The original woodwork throughout the hotel is especially stunning. The location is also great and very central, which made it easy to get around and explore different parts of the city. We loved being able to have breakfast at the hotel before starting our day. The afternoon cookies, tea, and sherry were such a fun touch, and there was always hot coffee and water for tea available in the lounge. Most of all, the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. You can tell they really take pride in the hotel and in taking care of their guests. Overall, a 10/10 stay at the Queen Anne. We would absolutely stay here again!

The hotel had a beautiful lobby with warm decor. Hotel guests sat by the fire and drank tea/coffee and played games. Everyone was friendly. The rooms were clean. Breakfast was lovely. The hotel employees were helpful and responsive. Loved being close to Japantown, where there's good food, shopping, and massage (highly recommend Jan Massage in basement on Post Street) and the Fillmore district. One night I got back late and had to ring the buzzer several times before I was let in. I'm glad the hotel door is always locked, but I thought I would not be able to get in!

Unique, comfortable bed, limo service was great. Hot breakfast could be better. Add home fries, scrambled eggs, Tabasco sauce, ketchup, gluten free pastries.

Such a cool atmosphere and they are so nice

Beautiful historic hotel with grand staircases and winding hallways. Elagant lobby serving Cookies and Sherry in the afternoon. Is there a ghost? I think I'll need to visit again to find out more. Breakfast is adequate yet nothing special.

Breakfast, atmosphere, decor, location

Excellent location with access to bus system and fantastic restaurant options within walking distance. It was easy to walk to many sights. The cookies left out in the late afternoon were delicious. The bed was very uncomfortable with a mattress so soft and worn I was unable to get a good night of sleep. The room’s two chairs felt like sitting directly on the springs, making it uncomfortable to work. There was also a distinct and unpleasant odor in the room.
