An old building near a street corner that’s apparently a big homeless gathering place. But the staff are friendly, the rooms are solid and clean with soft beds, and the building is secure. It’s also very close to a BART station (the aforementioned corner gathering place). If you’re 1-2 people looking to stay in San Francisco for cheap and don’t want to consider a hostel then it’s a good choice.

Close to bus stop but due to that homeless but it’s not the fault of the staff or anyone it’s just the location.

The front desk man is nice. Flies on every floor, unclean rooms with stained bedding. Crude smell in hotel rooms, likely from streets below and consistently open windows.

They did not hold my room and will not make another reservation. I think they have banned me

Located near Bart They didn't hold my room. They can elled on me. Several times. No explanation. I had just arrived at the airport

Clean throughout and surprisingly comfy bed. The area was a bit rough but nobody bothers you. Good bars nearby and easy access to BART. Very friendly staff. Great shower (pressure and hot temperature) in shared bathroom. Good value for money for a one night stopover. All good.

I never like that property I don’t stay there

We couldn't use the rooms booked. The location was unacceptable. So many homeless people at the entrance. We worried about our safety when one was arrested by the entrance.

The surrounding area is... seriously unsafe. The room was smaller than most bathrooms. The bathroom (4 per floor) was just a toilet and a door and shared between everyone on the floor. There are 2 showers on each floor which can easily fit two people, maybe 3. The sink is in each room. It was hot that day and we had to keep the window open, no problems there except the noise from outside keep increasing as the afternoon and evening went on. There was no way to get a sound night sleep, even with the window closed which would still have made for a poor night's sleep. The staff was very good at what they did, but overall I cannot recommend this hotel and we certainly will not go back.
