Friendly staff and parking

Very clean. Staff were super helpful. Walking distance to stores and food. Shower pressure good and water hot. Pillows good, bed meh, highway is right next to it so some road noise but generally quiet. Parking is very tight so not great for bigger vehicles. For Santa Cruz and price its a good place. Not fancy but clean and ran well. Does the job but way more than the bare minumum.

That said, the rooms could definitely use some updates. The shower is oddly designed—it’s a walk-in with no door, so the bathroom floor gets wet everywhere. The toilet also made noises throughout our entire stay, like it was having water issues. The towels were ripped and very worn, and our room didn’t have a bag for the ice bucket. All in all, I can’t complain too much. The location was great, it was close to the beach, and parking was convenient. Just a few things that could use some TLC.

It was good enough and I didn’t expect much. All that matters is that I had a place to sleep for the night.

The rooms look they have recently been updated, nice and clean. The staff was great and the free breakfast was great. The outside of the property could use some updating, other than that is was a great stay.

Stayed for a night and just what we needed. Close to boardwalk and a full breakfast. Just be aware lot fills quickly in evening.

When I arrived, they said that my card didn’t go through and my reservation was canceled, which is a lie because I called the credit card and they said no transactions was requested, I do get a confirmation when a transaction is done, and there was nothing sent to me. They told me to try another hotel and if it didn’t go through then to call them back. But the other hotel had no problem at all, the lady at the front desk was really rude and like not even acknowledged that we were there until we call her to the front desk, she tried to send us to another hotel farther away where we wanted to be, and she didn’t even try the car again when I showed up which I see it has been weird because they were not supposed to run the car. I was there anyways until I checked in so we never again go to any best western place

The property was a great place to stay for the price. The staff were friendly and helpful. Free self-parking was available. The room was mostly updated and very clean. It was suitable for my family’s stay. The only downside to this property is the location. While the property is conveniently located near the freeway, the street traffic is very loud at night and early in the mornings. I’m not familiar with the area but there were also a lot of homeless on that street, so keep that in mind. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

I was charged in 7/20 for $357. And the. Charged again on 7/24 when I actually checked in. I screenshots from my banking account but they claimed they never did it

What we didn't like is the value that we paid for this room. The parking was also an issue. The beds were squeaky. The way the bathroom was shaped was difficult to get in. I feel bad for a heavier set person. Because they would struggle to get into the bathroom. There is no curtain or shower door, so the floor gets wet.

Didn’t like being charged for a king rated room when I was put in 2 rooms with 2 queens room 115- 118. When I went to talk to office staff they were telling me what I had booked I showed the screen shots of booking the one king room and one room with 2 queens. I had 5 total guest in my party. That I booked with booking they couldn’t assist me any further . Since I brought this up to booking.com sent in documents and yet heard anything in return. Disappointed in customer service. Parking at this establishment is not efficient for how many people they had booked . Shampooo in room has already been used was empty.

Great budget option. The rooms look like they were recently renovated and are clean. Close proximity to downtown Santa Cruz and nearby areas.

I liked how the stuff was very helpful with our needs and came right away to help us. Unfortunately the room wasn’t clean when Imwe arrived but the staff did change the room immediately and I appreciated their fast help.

Overbooking alert

The room was clean and well maintained. The breakfast was delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Overall felt dirty. Room had two broken lamp shades- one held up by visible tape. Stains on bed cover.
